They suit our climate and they're  really works of art.  If they don't get some award, it'll surprise me.

You can thank the Righeimer Council for these medians and all the other great changes we're seeing in the city.

Folks, Costa Mesa used to be considered the ugly sister of Newport Beach.  That's quickly changing--again, thanks to the Righeimer Council, which under the direction of the mayor, has started getting its priorities straight.

At Tuesday night's city council meeting some of the usual haters, uniform groupies, kooks and those lacking self-esteem were wearing anti-Righeimer T-shirts.

Councilmember Monahan commented on the shirts from the dais and pointed out that the T-shirts might violate rules of the Fair Political Practices Commission since they don't indicate who paid for them.

Well, according to the Costa Mesa Taxpayers Association, HERE, it was none other than the cop union that paid for the T-shirts.  That's the same group of mostly out of town cops who famously pulled the Righeimer hate sign around town during the last election.

LIBERALS AND THEIR GOOFY THINKING HARM COSTA MESA

Liberals such as Obama, Foley, Humphrey and Leece live in lala land.  They either don't understand the ways of existence or try to deny them. This always leads to failure and more problems in the end. [Remember the nutso feel-good and failed War on Poverty?]

At last night's city council meeting  liberal Wendy Leece chirped that she had received complaints from businesses about homeless people chasing away customers.

Then, Leece said that Costa Mesa should try to get the state to let us use Fairview State Hospital for homeless services, etc.

Folks, that's a stupid idea.  And, it is stupid because it violates the ways of existence.  Here are just three axioms to help Leece and other mind fogged libs such as Foley and Humphrey think straight:

AXIOMS:

1. To solve a problem you have to clearly state what the problem is.

2  We live in a cause and effect universe. For every effect there is a cause.  If you have a bad effect, find the cause and eliminate the cause and you eliminate the effect.

3.  All organisms (including humans) gravitate to where they are comfortable and avoid places where they are not comfortable.

Now, bear with me as I put the homeless problem in different terms to make it pop out and be clear, maybe even to libs;

The situation: There is a pond in the city where alligators live.

AXIOM 1: The problem:  The alligators are attacking people and are keeping people from shopping at stores and are generally harming the stable residents of the city.

AXIOM 2: The effect is the alligators. The cause is the pond.

AXIOM 3:  The alligators are comfortable in that pond. That's where they live and where they find food and other things that make alligators feel right at home.

How the libs try to solve the problem:  They want to make the pond nicer for the alligators and give them food and other things so they won't attack citizens or cause problems.

The result of this liberal "solution":  More alligators will come to the pond to get the freebies and the problems will increase.

The rational way to solve the problem:  Drain the pond and the alligators will no longer feel comfortable there and will move away all on their own to find a pond someplace else.

And out in lala land we can hear the liberals: "Alligators? We don't have  alligators in Costa Mesa. What's he talking about?"  Sigh.

WEITZBERG STRIKES BACK

Harold Weitzberg seemed to be a good soldier for that lefty over the hill women's group CM4RG. And, his daughter had married the son of Robin Leffler, who heads up CM4RG. 

So, it seemed likely that Weitzberg would be a shoo-in to get the endorsement of the over he hill women when he ran for the city council.

He haw,snort, snort, bray.

Then, the SHTF as one of the women said (or didn't say, depending on who is telling the tale) that "Weitzberg is not a Costa Mesa name."

Suddenly, all the lefties who had been promoting Weitzberg and the happy face stories coming out of the over the hill women's group were silent and there were few of their comments in the Daily Pilot about the story.  They simply didn't know how to respond.  It was one of their own, lefty councilwoman Sandy Genis, who had reportedly made the offensive comment about Weitzberg, 

They couldn't very well attack Genis and say that what she was alleged to have said sounded...well, you know... or they'd hurt their own lefty cause, and they couldn't very well attack the wounded Weitzberg, or that too might sound...well...you know this too.

Then, to add insult to injury, the over the hill women dumped Weitzberg like yesterday's chopped liver sandwich and named lefty dinosaur Jay Humphrey (with a Costa Mesa name) to be their anointed candidate.

So, as you can see in Weitzberg's column in the Daily Pilot, HERE, Weitzberg is now saying that Chris Bunyan would be a good choice for the city council.  Who? What?  No endorsement for Humphrey?

And, once again, those yippy little lefty running dogs, over the hill women, and the girly men are mostly silent and are not giving their usual low I.Q. knee jerk comments after Weitzberg's column.

You just know that some of these lefty fools would like to attack Weitzberg and point out his column may help take votes away from Foley and Humphrey, but they're afraid to say anything lest they make the situation even worse.  They just want Weitzberg to go away (silently) and they want the voters to forget about how Weitzberg was dropped; for who knows what reason.

Liberal Democrats Humphrey and Foley were on the city council before and helped create the down scale conditions on the Westside that we are now just starting to fix.

Under liberal Democrats Humphrey and Foley we had a job center for illegal aliens and councils back then wanted to expand the job center to include free medical care and have education classes.

Back then, we had a liberal police chief who would give free food to suspected illegal aliens.

When citizens called the CMPD because of noise and other problems caused by suspected illegal aliens, they would get lousy service or no service at all.

Back then, gangs and criminals ruled the streets of the Westside and the liberal Democrats wanted to give illegal aliens the power to determine the future of Costa Mesa.

When a man was killed in a drive by shooting on Baker Street in Mesa North, then city councilperson Katrina Foley "solved the problem" by delivering a pan of lasagna to the relatives of the dead guy.

When crime got out of control in the Mission-Mendoza slum in Foley's Mesa del Mar neighborhood, Foley "solved the problem" by planting some flowers in front of the slums.

Folks, don't buy anything from these two Obama clones and liberal Democrats Jay Humphrey and Katrina Foley.  They're bad for Costa Mesa.  They're bad for our safety.  They're bad for our property values.  They're bad for our quality of life.

Also, the unions are now intensely working the phones and calling voters in Costa Mesa trying to get them to vote for their liberal Democrat candidates.

ON MEASURE P VOTE YES IF YOU DO NOT WANT TOLL LANES TO SCREW UP TRAFFIC ON THE 405 THROUGH COSTA MESA

City CEO Tom Hatch says he takes responsibility for the screwup in the wording.  Yes, the guy in charge should take responsibility, but we don't think Hatch is really directly responsible for this latest screwup or the earlier one when the former city clerk failed to get the charter papers in on time or even the minor one we wrote about the other day where the wrong staff report was on the city's website for an item on the upcoming city council meeting.

We still maintain as we've written before, that we think the problem is that some incompetent people have been hired for top paying executive positions and when these people prove to be incompetent they are not let go; instead, more people are hired to take up the slack. We think that's why the 5th Floor of City Hall is bursting at the seams with highly paid executives and that some of them are just doing busy work.

Remember how we wrote months ago that the city was losing a really competent exec by not putting Peter Naghavi in as Asst. CEO?

Naghavi, as we wrote before, was one of those people who just made sure things were working right.

Every well run organization has some people like Naghavi. Oftentimes you don't even see what these people do, but their innate personalities makes them run a tight ship.  Go into an organization with people like this and visit a restroom. There will always be soap and towels. Visit the break room. There will always be coffee and condiments. Go to the copy machine. It will always have paper and toner.  Who does this? Gremlins?  No, it is usually someone who has the personality traits to make sure things are always right, as a natural part of their being.

Then visit an organization that does not have such people. No soap, no towels, no coffee, sugar all over the counter, light bulbs burned out, floors dirty and so on.

Shift gears and take an executive with the same type of personality as the person who makes sure there is soap in the restrooms, and put him in charge of important tasks, and he or she will make sure everything at this higher level runs right.

We asked Naghavi if he was leaving the city because he was passed over to be Asst. CEO and in keeping with his character about not bad mouthing anyone, he didn't answer the question.

Frankly, Peter Naghavi would have been a bargain at twice his salary. The guy did the job of several people and he was always approachable, respectful and professionally friendly with ordinary citizens.

What a loss for the city.

GIBBERING FOLEYITES CAN'T EVEN GET HONKS

Last night around 6 pm, the CM PRESSMOBILE got caught at a light on Baker and Harbor so we had a chance to observe some gibbering Foleyites jumping up and down on two street corners and waving Foley signs at the very heavy traffic passing by.

We didn't hear even one honk of support or one yell from a car window or anything that would signal support for liberal Democrat and retread Foley.

Up until the Ebola crisis, the CDC was, at least in the popular mind, the ultimate super medical sleuth agency.  Now, after just a few weeks of Ebola in the U.S., that reputation has gone out the window.

Folks, are you getting tired or overly ambitious political hacks such as liberal Democrats Foley and Humphrey--two retreads who were on the council before and who sat there like mushrooms while Costa Mesa was in the grip of gangs and had frequent shootings and murders?  

If a person has a good heart and proper American values* that's all we need on the council.  Such a person will vote to improve Costa Mesa and make it a safe and great city, because with such a good heart and proper American values they'll automatically do the right things.

Oh, wait a minute, Graham believes there is a higher power that sets our moral standards and they're not subject to what humans may want after they are manipulated and brow beaten into thinking abnormal is normal and bad is good.  Graham apparently doesn't believe in having a religion of what's happen' now baby.

While Graham relies on his traditional religious faith in these matters, one really doesn't need traditional religious faith. If one simply understands how nature works one can know why so many things humans now accept as normal are not normal at all and are harmful. Nature has its own morality and laws and we humans are part of nature.

TWO SCHOOLS LOCKED DOWN IN SANTA ANA AFTER A 16-YEAR-OLD KID WAS SHOT NEARBY

Folks, Santa Ana has almost daily shootings.  Costa Mesa was headed that way back when retread liberal Democrats Foley and Humphrey were on the City Council before.  If they get elected again, we may once again head that way.  No, of course they don't want shootings.  The problem is that liberals have false and fixed ideas about the nature of reality and people and with these false ideas violent crime and social dysfunction and the lowering of the quality of life follow.

Ideas always precede results.  And, with wrong ideas, wrong results follow. We live in a cause and effect universe and bad effects have causes which often come from wrong ideas.

Remember the War on Poverty, that grand kumbaya liberal idea?  It was a total failure.  Why? Because it was based on the wrong ideas about humans.  What about Head Start?  Also a total failure. Same reason.

Look, maybe this is the best way to understand this:  If people believe the world is flat and that you can fall off if you sail too far out into the ocean, few people will venture far from shore.

Or how about this: Physicians once had false ideas about how disease was spread. As a result they wouldn't wash their hands before operating on people. The operations were often successful, but the patients died from the germs they got from the physicians.

One has to have the right ideas for the right results. Foley and Humphrey don't have the right ideas. Their heads are in lala land.

WHERE THE CM PRESS STANDS ON FAIRVIEW PARK

We would like to see the park just be left alone.  Let nature decide how it will look.  Let wind sown plants that have evolved and adapted to Costa Mesa as it is today grow all on their own without human help.

As far as sports fields go, we wouldn't like to see them in Fairview Park.  Our suggestion is for the city to buy up slum properties on the open market, assemble parcels, raze the slums and put in sports fields.  Expensive?  Yes, in the short run, but in the long run this suggestion would benefit the city in many, many ways. For example we would have fewer slums, lower crime, more sports fields, more open space in dense neighborhoods, a nicer looking city.  And, the citizens of the city would own the land.  Should we ever want to re-purpose these new sports fields, we could do so.

We think of this as sort of Costa Mesa's Louisiana Purchase or the purchase of Alaska.
