UPDATE: The CMPD arrested Anthony Thomas Guerrero at Newport and 19th Street this morning after receiving a tip from a citizen. Guerrero was the only outstanding suspect in an alleged auto theft and alleged drug deal that we reported on earlier.

A BETTER CONSTITUTION?
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently said: “I would not look to the United States Constitution if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012.” She suggested, instead, the South African Constitution, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms or the European Convention on Human Rights."
The CM PRESS took a look at these documents and we agree with Justice Ginsburg.
We think the best of the lot is the South African Constitution (it's better organized, easier to quickly scan and easier to understand than the others and more adequately protects the rights of separate peoples as separate peoples and doesn't strip them of their separate identities in an attempt to make them conform to an identity that is not theirs). In our view, this constitution is not perfect. However, if we were writing one, we might cut and paste some of its provisions into a new constitution.
Wait a minute? Cut and paste? You mean a Supreme Court Justice actually suggested looking at constitutions for different countries to come up with a new constitution if you were drafting one?
Why, isn't that what the Costa Mesa City Council did to come up with a draft charter for our city?
You mean that's the best way to do things instead of trying to start with a blank piece of paper as the Goslow Wendyites seem to suggest?

CM PRESS # 758
7:10--2/1/12--CMPD LOOKING FOR SUSPECT
[Following is from CMPD press release]
On 02-01-12, Officers were dispatched to the area of Tustin Avenue and 18th Street regarding suspicious activity involving 2 African American males in a red Volvo possibly selling drugs to the informant’s daughter.
The males immediately drove away in the Volvo and the informant followed them while relaying this information to the Costa Mesa Police Department. With the informant still following the vehicle, both males stopped the Volvo in front of Harper School at 425 E. 18th Street and fled on foot.
A record check revealed the Volvo was reported stolen from Costa Mesa on 01-19-12. Officers were immediately able to detain and arrest one of the males, identified as Adon Woodward.
A perimeter was set up for the second suspect and officers from the Newport Beach Police Department assisted with the search. The Huntington Beach Police helicopter also assisted with the search and provided periodic updates as well as announcements over their public address system.
The second suspect, identified as Anthony Thomas Guerrero, is currently outstanding. He is [Black] approximately 5-7, 160 pounds, last seen wearing a plaid shirt and green pants. If you see someone matching this description please contact the local police department.

[Following is from CMPD press release]
On 02-01-12, Officers were dispatched to the area of Tustin Avenue and 18th Street regarding suspicious activity involving 2 African American males in a red Volvo possibly selling drugs to the informant’s daughter.
The males immediately drove away in the Volvo and the informant followed them while relaying this information to the Costa Mesa Police Department. With the informant still following the vehicle, both males stopped the Volvo in front of Harper School at 425 E. 18th Street and fled on foot.
A record check revealed the Volvo was reported stolen from Costa Mesa on 01-19-12. Officers were immediately able to detain and arrest one of the males, identified as Adon Woodward.
A perimeter was set up for the second suspect and officers from the Newport Beach Police Department assisted with the search. The Huntington Beach Police helicopter also assisted with the search and provided periodic updates as well as announcements over their public address system.
The second suspect, identified as Anthony Thomas Guerrero, is currently outstanding. He is [Black] approximately 5-7, 160 pounds, last seen wearing a plaid shirt and green pants. If you see someone matching this description please contact the local police department.

In the above story you'll read that pythons are apparently wiping out many mammals in the Everglades.
The reason the pythons are winning the battle for survival is because they are apparently better adapted to the Everglades than the mammals that they're eating. This is just the normal process of evolution which constantly tinkers with life to bring forth the most fit for every niche.
The lesson in this is that the animals that are being replaced will have to adapt to survive and prosper or be fully replaced. There's no free ride in nature and there's always competition.

Cops aren't sure hate crime charges will be filed. Yup, that's what it says in the news article.
Are you catching on yet to the double standard? A White person can frown at a Black person and the White person will be charged with a hate crime, but Blacks can attack Whites and use racial hate terms and no hate crime charges will be filed. This is happening all over the U.S. and even in Europe right now.
The establishment tries to hide all these attacks on Whites and the racial motives for them, and when the race of the attackers and the victims are revealed, then the establishment tries to localize the stories so only those in the local area will read about them.
Fortunately, Drudge and a few other news sources are now publishing the reports of these anti-White attacks to a wider audience and getting the truth out. But, even then, the racial attacks on Whites that you see on Drudge are only a very small percentage of such attacks that happen every day in this country.
The truth will help protect you.

Folks, instead of the Good Councilmembers receiving smears, they should be receiving medals for trying to get Costa Mesa back on the right track.

Meanwhile, Costa Mesa is left with the nutcases and cranks who constantly whine when the Good Councilmembers try to shrink government, save money and take the power away from Sacramento and give it to the citizens of Costa Mesa.

Ms. Ahlf, in addition to being a frequent critic of the Good Councilmembers, is the mother of Karl Ahlf who ran unsuccessfully for the Costa Mesa City Council a few years ago.
We're not sure what upsets Ms. Ahlf about the Good Councilmembers, and just saying that the city is
"circling the drain," gives us absolutely no clues whatsoever.
Is she upset because the Good Councilmembers are improving the city and the quality of life of the residents?
Is she upset because the Good Councilmembers are right-sizing the government to save taxpayers money?
Is she upset because the Good Councilmembers want to take control of our city away from Sacramento and put it in the hands of Costa Mesans?
Perhaps Ms. Ahlf can enlighten us. Send us your comments Ms. Ahlf and if they have more than just meaningless catch phrases such as "circling the drain," we may publish them.
