Panian doesn't like the charter because it wasn't put together by consensus.  What a load of crap.  Folks, are you familiar with the Delphi Technique and its progeny that the likes of libs such as Panian are fond of?

Basically, you put together a group of easily suggestible, local, tiny brain nutjobs who sit around in huggy kissy small groups led by a facilitator who already has a preconceived outcome in mind.  He keeps working the small groups until they come up with his preconceived outcome.  Oh, and the small groups usually have a few shills who try to marshal support for the preconceived outcome.

Folks, it's a psychological technique partly based on the fact that most people don't want to disagree with what others in a small group agree on.  And, it's easy to manipulate the small groups to come up with the preconceived outcome.

Then, when there is this artificial consensus, because the tiny brain nutjobs wrongly think it is they who have come up with the outcome, it is announced to the world as a wonderful demonstration of how citizens can "come together," and find a solution.  Crap, crap, crap.

Also, Panian, in his stupid column, then veers off into wanting Costa Mesa to redo its Council system so we have district voting.  Why would Panian want that?  Because he's a liberal and that's one of the things that liberals do to promote "diversity."  Read Panian's column and you'll even see him talk about diversity, etc. over and over.

Meanwhile, be sure to read the responses from the usual lefty rapid response team that follow Panian's
drivel.  It's the same kooks over and over and over.

THIS IS KARIN AHLF

Ahlf supports the CMFROGS.

Ahlf spends a lot of time acting as part of a lefty rapid response team in the comments sections below articles in the Daily Pilot.

Ahlf doesn't seem to know much about government.

In her latest attempt to spin something, Ahlf tries to tell readers that  Weitzberg shouted down a speaker at the podium because that speaker wasn't going by the rules in that he had extra time to speak and that he also yelled at the audience. [You can find Ahlf's stupid comment below this article in the DP HERE].

Here's what  Ahlf doesn't understand about how our local democracy works:

Speakers go to the podium to address the City Council--not the audience.

If the Mayor or City Council want to hear more from a speaker, they have the right to extend the speaker's time or agree in advance to give the speaker extra time.  That's what they did with the speaker that Weitzberg shouted down.

Also, what viewers at home did not hear--because the microphones at the podiums muffle out room noise--was that people in the rear of the chambers were making loud noises to distract and silence the speaker even before that noise reached a level that it could be heard by viewers at home.

These loud room sounds can easily be heard by the speaker, but are not usually picked up by the microphones going to the television feed until they reach a certain level, and even then, they are muffled. It was after enduring loud disruptive noises from the audience that the speaker turned to the audience and called them "fascists."

THIS IS GEOFF WEST

West supports the CMFROGS.

West often seems to be on the verge of a Chicken Little nervous breakdown as he whines that  the city is being "destroyed" by even the slightest thing the good Councilmembers do to try to right size government or improve the city.

West has no children, yet he sometimes lectures others who do have children about what is right for the schools.

West is another one of the lefty rapid response team and he seems to spend a lot of time making negative comments about others.

We've never heard this guy come up with any positive suggestions to improve Costa Mesa.

He simply waits until doers take action, and then he whines about whatever it is that they are doing.  This is the typical way that non-doers act throughout their lives.  They never do anything.  They never create anything. They just lash out at doers and people who are full of life, vigor and generative power as though it is life itself, and their own effete life in particular, that they really hate.

Stephens always seems to preface his remarks by telling anyone who will listen that he's a attorney.

Before a few months ago, few Improvement activists had ever heard of Stephens. Then, it seems that Stephens fell out of bed one day, walked to the mirror and said something like: I'm John Stephens, an attorney with offices in Newport Beach, and I think it would be fun to run for the City Council, and it'll be a swell resume enhancement, as well.

WERE YOU SURPRISED AT HOW WELL MITT ROMNEY DID IN THE FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE?

You shouldn't have been.

Mitt Romney looked like he was having fun and was completely natural on stage, because he was having fun and was completely natural.  This was his element.

Starting from when they're very young, Mormon kids are on stages and talking in front of large groups of people.

When they turn 18, the boys (and some girls) go on two year missions.  Mitt went to France.  Before they leave on their missions, they go to Salt Lake City and learn the language of the country they're going to, if they've been assigned to a non-English speaking foreign country, and they learn how to make persuasive arguments--in that foreign language.

Then, for two years they cold call by knocking on doors and trying to convince the people behind the doors about their faith. They get a lot of rejection and learn to handle it.  They also learn to make a case without being obnoxious and they learn how to overcome objections.

After two years, the missionaries return to their own homes, and they usually get married and start families.

Then, the now returned missionaries do what all other adult members of the church do:  they take up various volunteer positions in the church.  Among other things, Mitt was a visiting teacher--visiting a certain number of assigned families each month to make sure they're doing okay. He then became a bishop, which means he oversaw the activities of a couple of hundred of his fellow Mormons.  Next, he became a stake president which is a position over about 3,000 Mormons.

And, with Mitt, not only did he have that lifetime of daily experience behind him in dealing with people and their problems on a loving basis, he also had all the years of his business experience.

If I were advising Obama, I'd be trying to figure some way to get him out of the next two debates, because it's not going to get any better for him.

BEVER IS RIGHT

There is an over concentration of charities on the Westside.

Partly because of this over concentration, the area is having a hard time improving.

Some of you "compassionate" folks who are outraged that the mayor is trying to help clean up the Westside, and who are making over the top comments in the Daily Pilot, would be outraged if you walked out in front of your home to find people sleeping on your lawn and human waste on your doorstep. That is what some are experiencing.

Yet, you mouth off that Bever lacks compassion.

Charity that harms others in order to help a few, is misplaced charity. And that's what's happening on the Westside.

A few years ago, some of the charities would crow each year about how they were helping many more people this year than the one before.  Every year it was more than the year before.

The CM PRESS and others then pointed out that this wasn't a plus, but was just a sign that they were acting as magnets and were importing people here to get the freebies.  And, that was, and is, what is happening.

Charities can be profitable businesses for those in charge.

The head of one of the local charities makes more than $150,000 per year.  Without an ever increasing number of "clients," that salary would go away or be reduced.

The next time you hear some charity boss give you the holier than thou speech about how wonderful and compassionate he or she is, ask them how much money they make from their charity.  No, this isn't a rude question. It's  public information and the charities have to file their  990's (tax forms) so people can see them.

COPS IN TEXAS GOING OUT OF THEIR WAY TO FIND A HATE CRIME 

No one filed any police reports after a couple of possibly bleach filled balloons were allegedly dropped from a building on to or near  a couple of  either Black or mixed race students walking down below, so the cops went out of their way to find alleged victims and had them file complaints, and now they're trying to ramp what may have been a prank against anyone walking in front of the building into a hate crime.

Contrast the above to the way the real unprovoked attacks on Whites by Blacks are treated by many police departments: they can never seem to find any hate crimes in such unprovoked attacks.

For your organization's mission statement, write something like:

Provide food, clothing and financial aid to homeless and hungry people who come to Costa Mesa  from all of the U.S. and foreign countries.

Remember, your "organization" can't show a profit, but you can give yourself a nice salary, a car to use, and other benefits.

Once you get rolling, just write yourself a yearly salary of anywhere from $ 60,000 to $ 200,000, depending on how much money you can raise.

And, if you raise so much money that your organization is showing a profit, just find more homeless people and illegal aliens to help, or simply give yourself a raise.

The more homeless people and illegal aliens you can attract to Costa Mesa, the better for you and for the growth of your charity business.

[Psst. Try not to live too close to your charity, because it'll attract a lot of undesirables and the crime will rise in the area.  There will also be unstable people with serious mental problems who might harm you and your children.  Better to commute to your charity from your faraway nice home that you bought with the money you've made with your charity business.]

MAYOR BEVER GETS IT RIGHT ABOUT THE CHARITIES

They are magnets that are drawing people to Costa Mesa who can't afford to live here, and they're scaring off people who can afford to live here who might move here.

Costa Mesa does not gain anything by letting the Westside become Orange County's skidrow.

All, you lefties who are complaining about Bever suggesting we take a look at the charities, how about you take the homeless and the illegal aliens back to your Newport Beach, Mesa Verde, and Eastside neighborhoods?

Hell, a bunch of Eastside residents were foaming at the mouth last month over an upscale coffee shop opening on E. 17th Street.  Yet, some of these same people think it's fine for the Westside to have charities up the ying yang.

And, speaking of charities, the people running these things aren't walking around in sack cloth.  They make good salaries from their "charity" work.  Doubt it?  Check the 990's (tax forms) of the charities and look at the salaries and benefits of those running some of them.

What about those surveys to determine where the homeless and illegal aliens are from?

You can't just walk up to them and say:  "Where are you from?"  Their answer will be "Costa Mesa," because that's where they're living now.

You have to ask:  "Where were you born? When did you come to Costa Mesa?  Where did you live just prior to coming to Costa Mesa?  Why did you come to Costa Mesa?"

No one has a right to drive down our property values and the quality of life for Costa Mesa citizens.  We should be able to use the library and the parks and walk our streets without stepping over drunks, and we shouldn't have to worry about the safety of our children because people with mental problems are being brought right into our neighborhoods by the charities.

WHY THE HOMELESS PROBLEM IS GETTING WORSE IN COSTA MESA

City CEO Tom Hatch asked the City Council last night to be patient and give the recommendations of the Homeless Task Force six more months to see if the recommendations work.

If we were on the Council, we wouldn't wait.  It is clear the recommendations aren't working and it's also clear (at least to the CM PRESS) that they're not working because they only address the demand side of the equation and not the supply side.

In other words, what the Homeless Task Force is trying to do is have the homeless people stop coming here and move away by doing things such as removing the shelter at Lions Park, removing a railing in front of the library where the homeless people tie up their bikes, prohibit smoking in Lions Park and similar demand side actions.

Still, the homeless come here and stay here.  Why?

It's because in Costa Mesa we have too many pathological altruists and a charity culture that has grown over the years.  The non-profits require ever more homeless people (and illegal aliens) as clients in order to keep their charity businesses growing.

It is these charities that are the magnets for the homeless people and the illegal aliens. These charities are the supply side of the equation.

In Costa Mesa, and especially near Lions Park, it is an easy walk for homeless people and illegal aliens to go to a free soup kitchen where they get free meals every day, and to a medical/dental clinic where they get free medical care (and also some money and food handouts), and to other freebies from other charities.

Meanwhile, we have Wendy Leece who actually praises some of the charities right while sitting on the dais as a City Council member, and we have the local newspaper writing puff pieces about the swells coming in from Newport Beach to help the downtrodden in Costa Mesa.

As long as the supply of freebies in Costa Mesa continues, there will be no solution to the homeless problem.

In a hierarchy of needs, food is one of the very first needs.  And, the homeless people (and illegal aliens) will continue to stay near the free food supply.

After food, come the other needs such as shelter, medical care, etc.  And, as we already mentioned, they can also get those needs met in Costa Mesa and mostly near Lions Park.

Human beings, no less than pigeons, will flock to the freebies.  Remove the freebies, and they'll leave.

Stop feeding the pigeons and they'll leave.

Listen to some of them as they speak with a flat affect. Watch the body language of some others.  Listen to how they talk.  Folks, many of these scumbags really are mental cases.

Of course they're against the good Council members and the 3Ms--they're against anything  that is robust and healthy and full of life.

Watch these dried up maggoty husks as they try to convince voters that saving money, right sizing government and doing what elected officials are supposed to do is somehow wrong.

It looks like the insane asylum let the patients out for the night.

Spit when you hear their names.

These creeps who whine about the good Council members and the 3Ms and the charter are disgusting cowards who think they can shut others up and keep you from voting for what is best for Costa Mesa.

Don't let the scumbags get away with it.  Vote for Mensinger, Monahan and McCarthy and also vote Yes for Measure V (the charter).

From the Daily Pilot: CITY COUNCIL MAY KEEP STREET SWEEPING IN-HOUSE

After reviewing whether or not it makes sense to outsource street sweeping and some related services, the Council may conclude tonight that it does not make sense to outsource these services.

No matter how the Council decides tonight, it is clear that the Council has upheld its fiduciary duty to the citizens of Costa Mesa by at least investigating whether or not we can get the same services for a better price.

Isn't that what we want in City leaders?  Don't we want them to question the way services have been provided to save us money and give us the best service possible?

We can't speak for you, but that's exactly what the CM PRESS wants in City leaders.

You may recall that the Council also investigated privatizing TeWinkle Park, but then decided it was better to keep it as it is.

Meanwhile, the small brain, foaming at the mouth lefties and union goons whine and complain about the good Council members trying to save us money and getting us the best services.

The truth is that the good Council members are acting like adults and they're doing what most of us do in our private lives: comparison shop.

What the CM PRESS doesn't want in City leaders are status-quo people such as Wendy Leece who sit on the dais and burble childish nonsense about Costa Mesans being unique and how we have the best employees in the state and how we shouldn't question how government is being run.

Look, Costa Mesa may, indeed, have some of the best employees in the state, but how does anyone know that?  What yardstick is Wendy using?  When she says things like that, it's just nonsense.  She talks to citizens as though she's the City's school teacher and citizens are little children who will believe the be true to your school pep talk silliness.

It's not complicated folks.  If you want more local control and less control from legislators in faraway Sacramento; many of whom probably couldn't locate  Costa Mesa on a map,
then vote for Measure V.

Meanwhile, the Daily Pilot still hasn't run our column in favor of Measure V.  Probably too persuasive and they're afraid voters will realize why the proposed charter makes sense.

THE CMFROGS PREPARING TO GO TO ANOTHER CITY COUNCIL MEETING TOMORROW NIGHT 

The Over the Hill Frog ladies (and most of the CMFROGS do seem to be a certain type of female) just can't wait to go to the podium to tell men that they shouldn't be like men.

No, men shouldn't actually do anything to improve Costa Mesa, they should sit around and talk about their personal problems all day and show how sensitive they are to the feelings of these women.

And, the Over the Hill Frog ladies will also welcome you mouse like men--you geldings*--who also like to sit around and express your inner girly feelings, but you have to talk in girly tones and you have to be good listeners. Be sure to screw up your faces in various concerned looks the way Wendy Leece does to show how much you really, really care. (But, like Wendy Leece, don't ever try to solve problems--just show that you're a good listener).
