NEWSPAPER ORDERED TO REVEAL THE NAMES OF ANONYMOUS COMMENTERS
Maybe something like the above will happen in Costa Mesa and some of the haters and bigots who are clearly inside City government will be outed. We've seen at least one commenter reveal what appears to be inside information of a sensitive nature.

TROUBLED MOTEL IN BUENA PARK SHUT DOWN BY CITY
The Buena Park motel, like similar ones in Costa Mesa, was a breeding ground for crime and a safe-haven for criminals.

WE PONDER THE WAYS OF EXISTENCE IN A PARK...
A weed is just a plant that some humans don't like.
You've heard or read about how this or that group is trying to save some organism
from extinction. It sounds good, but
what is really going on?
Just this. Existence is not static.
Everything moves. Things change. No organism has the right to continued
existence if it has not adapted to the changes that come from the non-static,
always moving, nature of existence.
So, being that you are a do-gooder, you go into Fairview Park
and you pull out plants that are growing there all by themselves with no help
from humans. They live and prosper and
make a good living in the conditions that are now existent in the park, but you call them weeds.
And, as you pull out the plants that are now growing there
naturally, you smugly tell everyone that you are going to replace them with
native plants. And, you don't even
realize how absurd you sound.
You see, your so-called native plants are no longer native. They can't compete with
their replacements under present conditions.
Once, the area may have been wetter. Now it is drier. Your so-called native plants are no longer the fittest plants for that
environmental niche, and you can know this because they've been replaced by
other plants that have been wind sown
and which grow with no human intervention. The new plants like it drier. They
have the adaptations for dryness. That's why they forced out your so-called
native plants.
Bad, bad non-native plants that are growing here all by
themselves with no help from humans.
We're going to replace you with native plants that will cost
the taxpayers of Costa Mesa lots of money in order to keep them growing here where
they no longer belong. Yes, we'll put in
special irrigation systems and we'll bring in new soil and fertilizer and we'll
hire people to come here every day to help them grow.
But what about the moral high ground in all this?
Do the so-called native plants that no longer grow here naturally
have that moral high ground because they were here first? Nope.
They may have preceded the plants that now truly do grow here with no
human help, but these so-called native plants have no moral high ground in this. They replaced earlier plants and those earlier ones replaced
earlier ones still. Why? Again, and this is where we came in: Existence
is not static. Things change. Compete and win in ever changing
circumstances or you'll be replaced.--unless of course you have some humans who
will come in and spend lots of money that is not theirs to help you survive
where you can't naturally survive.
All is competition.

GAG, BARF
Be sure to read the comments following the Daily Pilot article about The Hummingbird getting into the City Council race HERE.
Note that many of those weepy neurotics supporting The Hummingbird say things like she cares, she deeply cares, she loves the city.
Yes, we libs know what we need. We need more love and, ah, people on the Council who care and, why, some who even deeply care, and, and, sniff, sniff, people who will heal the city and who will not be divisive and who will unify us. We need a buncha pansy asses on the Council--that's what we need, er, I mean, we need kind and compassionate people who sing kumbaya and who like to emote a lot.
We libs don't want people who will right size government, fix our streets, and improve Costa Mesa so we can compete for upwardly mobile citizens with other cities that are offering them better schools, low crime rates, properly maintained streets etc.
No, we libs want Councilmembers like Wendy Leece who deeply cares. We want to see emotions play across the rubber faces of Councilmembers as people go to the podium to tell of their pain. We don't want these Councilmembers to actually do anything about the pain. We just want to see them emote. That shows they love and care. Why, it brings tears to our eyes. Sniff, sniff. Please, can we have a group hug now, and maybe we can sing kumbaya or light some candles and walk down the sidewalk to show how much we care and love.

MORE ON THE SURPRISE BANKRUPTCY OF SAN BERNARDINO
The City Attorney says that staff had given the Mayor and City Council falsified documents for 13 of the last 16 years that masked the deficit spending.
The lesson: Elected officials have to ask hard and direct questions of staff and demand straight answers and not accept endless bureaucrat speak that attempts to disguise reality.
In Costa Mesa, right now, we have good Councilmembers who are asking hard and direct questions of staff.
As a long time observer of our local government, I can tell you that this has not always been the case. I can remember going to City Council meetings a few years ago and it looked like a love fest between some numbnut Councilmembers and staff.
Wendy Leece, who is on the Council now, is the only one who is continuing that love fest crap. The good Councilmembers, on the other hand, are doing what they're supposed to be doing and aren't just rolling over for staff.
Meanwhile, Wendy and her little gang of Go Slow Wendyites continue to froth at the mouth anytime the good Councilmembers try to straighten things out here in Costa Mesa.
It's like this from Wendy: "Yooo hooo, we have the bestest staff and the bestest police and the bestest firemen and the bestest this and the bestest that, because we're Costa Mesans, and by gum, we're the bestest."

[But dig deeper and you'll see more.]
Here's the surface of what Wright said:
“Take a baby born an African, as an African in the oven,” he said, using Malcolm X’s saying “just because a cat has kittens in the oven, that doesn’t make them biscuits."
“Take that baby him or her away from the African mother, away from the African community, away from the African experience … and put them Africans at the breasts of Yale, Harvard, University of Chicago, those trinity schools, UCLA or U.C. Berkley. Turn them into biscuits then they’ll get that alien DNA all up inside their brain and they will turn on their own people in defense of the ones who are keeping their own people under oppression.
“There is white racist DNA running through the synapses of their under-brain tissue.
“They will kill their own kind, defend the enemies of their kind or anyone who is perceived to be the enemy of the milky white way of life.”
Here's what you get when you dig deeper:
Actually, when Wright says "They [some Blacks] will kill their own kind, defend the enemies of their kind or anyone who is perceived to be the enemy of the milky white way of life," he is also, but apparently unknowingly, describing Good Whites--those scumbags who will excuse any Black atrocities against Whites and who will even attack any Whites who have any sense of who and what they are.
What's really going on here--when one de-particularizes what Wright said-- is that Wright is arguing against the blending of different peoples into a one size fits all multi-racial Tan Everyman, and he's arguing in favor of letting all distinct peoples have a right to exist as they themselves define themselves, and to have the right to their own self-determination.
We can't argue with the deeper version of what Wright said, because that's what we've also been saying for years: All distinct peoples have a right to exist as they themselves define themselves, and to have the right to their own self-determination.
The notion that all distinct peoples should blend together so that Earth has one nation, one religion and one race is not utopian but dystopian, and since it is anti-nature, it will never be. But, many people will be deceived and their families will become extinct. Of course, it might be argued that those who are deceived are weak seeds and were on their way to extinction sooner or later anyway.

COLIN MCCARTHY SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON CHARTER CITIES
Whenever one of the un-improvers writes some crap, the improvement minded folks--such as McCarthy-- need to set the record straight and not just let the lies and misrepresentations hang out there to ensnare the minds of voters.

supporters who moan about legal fees from the union lawsuits. They don't
get it, maybe when the city prevails in the lawsuit they may look in the
mirror and see it was them causing the lawsuits. But then again, most
probably don't have mirrors in their house. Another trick they use:
they constantly call council names and degrade them and then
say the council vilifies them. Too funny. Or another:
council doesn't listen. then when council responds they complain
that council talks back to them. Or another: they want to know what
council does and want reports, then when council reports they say
they are tired or council "campaigning" from the dais. Or another
one, they......not enough space. You get the picture, they live in
some alternate universe. What a job someone did on them when
they were young, must have been extremely spoiled and made to
believe the whole world revolved around them. When
you have no vision, just oppose everything is their default life.
People who propose things make them feel small and they are
compelled to attack because in their world no one is better than
them. And no other city's cops or employees are better than ours and for
sure no one in the private sector works as hard as a union man.
They are easily distracted by shiny objects and focus on them.
