OUT OF TOWN A-FRAME SIGN COP DOESN'T LIKE THE CMPD REORGANIZATION

Remember the anti-Righeimer sign that was pulled around our city behind a Cadillac Escalade before the last election by some cops who work for us but who live in other cities (aka out of town cops)?

That's it in the picture up above. We took this photo of it when it was parked in front of the downtown community center before a candidate forum.

One of the out of town cops who was involved with this sign and the attempt to defeat Righeimer and put a puppet on the city council was Jason Chamness.

In the article now running in the Daily Pilot  about the CMPD reorganization [HERE], Chamness pops up again:

"There was disbelief that no amount of logic, statistical data, or law enforcement experience is going to change the tragic course this city is on," Jason Chamness, association president, said when asked to gauge the mood after the proposal was released to department personnel on Wednesday.

"There were 164 sworn police officers in 2009-2010 and a steady decrease in crime," he said. "Now the CEO is recommending a 21% decrease in officers. Even the consulting firm that the city hired and the chief recommended more officers."

Fortunately, it is not out of town cops who are running this city.  We have elected officials--a City Council--that will decide what is right for Costa Mesa.

And, the City Council members actually live here in Costa Mesa.  They have their kids here.  They have their families here.  They support our schools.  They shop in our markets.  They drive our streets. They sleep here.  They vote here. They don't punch a time clock and go back to some far flung city.

The CM PRESS believes the new City Council is on the right track.

But, if the Council is wrong and we need more cops, we can hire them.  There will be a line around the block applying.

So, you see, the problem is those doggone whites who complain about the attacks and who demand law and order.

 STEPHEN JAY GOULD MISMEASURED SKULLS
[Perhaps intentionally]

Gould  may have intentionally fudged his results because of his prejudices and to try to falsely show that all humans are alike.

His book The Mismeasure of Man is often cited by his fellow PC travellers who are incapable of critical thinking.

The reality is that the truths of nature that apply to all other organisms also apply to humans.

There is no superior or inferior race of  humans any more than there is an inferior or superior breed of dogs.

One always has to ask: Superior at what?  Inferior at what?  No organism is across the board superior or inferior.

Accepting the reality of human differences is no different than accepting the reality of canine differences.  It is just a realization that different types of humans have evolved with adaptations to give them survival advantages in various environmental niches.

As we write above in our masthead: Nothing scientific can be racist and nothing racist can be scientific.

GUSHY ARTICLE ON THE SOUP KITCHEN ON W. 19TH STREET

Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy doesn't it? The main commercial street on the Westside has a free soup kitchen to serve homeless people.

In other cities, charities such as this are on skid row streets, not the main commercial street.

Say you own an upscale restaurant chain or a retail store and you want a heavily trafficked street to open a new location.  Would you want to open your business near a free soup kitchen?

Perhaps you want to buy a home for your family.  Would you want to be near a free soup kitchen?

COMMENTS ON THE HOMELESS GUY WHO HIT THE 3-YEAR-OLD IN LIONS PARK

Be sure to read the comments after the article from madmomto1.  This is what our residents who live on the Westside have to put up with.

Folks, we're going to lose good residents if we don't fix the Westside. Who wants to live in the crap they have to take all the time?

C'mon City Council it's time to be decisive.  Fix the Westside!  Do it now. Stop screwing around with bandaids and get the place on par with the rest of the city.

Here's the real problem for you City Council--the city has a charity machine in place that makes money off illegal aliens, homeless people, parolees, drug addicts and others in need of charity services.  And, the charity machine constantly gets praised by the swells for being compassionate.

Here's the other thing, City Council, you keep giving our money to the charities.  Isn't it time you started pulling cogs out of the charity machine by not giving them our money and by getting them out of the Westside?

Isn't it time you cut City government even more down to size so we have money to buy up and tear down gang buildings?

Also, instead of having code enforcement harassing a woman because her 30 year old hedge is no longer in code, how about having them start checking all the codes on the charities on the Westside?

HMMMM...LET'S TRY IT AS A FABLE

City A noticed there were a few hungry pigeons in the city, so it spent tax payer money to feed them.

The next year there were even more hungry pigeons in City A so the city spent more tax payer money on them. And, this continued.

Soon, City A had to hire more City employees to clean up after the pigeons. The government grew and grew and it no longer had money to fix streets or parks or make the city nicer because all its money was going to employees involved in one way or another with the pigeons. Stable citizens moved away.

City B, right next door to City A, also noticed there were a few hungry pigeons in City B.

However, City B  refused to spend any tax payer money on feeding them.

Soon, the hungry pigeons in City B flew to City A.

You see, the pigeons had figured out that City A was full of bird brains and suckers who could be counted on to give them free food while screwing the stable citizens of the city.

And, the pigeons could always count on the usual "compassionate" people in City A to mouth the usual cliches about City A being a compassionate city and they could count on the local newspaper to publish gushy articles about their compassion.

POLICE RESTRUCTURING CHATTER

Be sure to read the comments from the presumed out of town cops who are posting comments after the above linked Daily Pilot article on police restructuring and the meeting held with cops about the restructuring.

One presumed cop commenter avers that CEO Tom Hatch repeatedly told cops at the meeting that the City Council doesn't trust City employees.

We weren't at the meeting so we don't know what Mr. Hatch actually said, but we doubt he said what that commenter claims he said in the way the commenter wants it to sound.

Nevertheless, our guess is that the City Councilmembers--being ordinary citizens of Costa Mesa--probably share a growing distrust in some employees given the way some of them have been acting during these difficult times.

And,  what about citizen attitudes toward the cops?  Many citizens tell us that they don't trust or have confidence in the department and want to see changes.

Once trust is broken, it's difficult to regain it.

Hopefully, the CMPD will do what is necessary to rid itself of the few bad cops who many believe are the real problem over there and replace them with professionals.

CITY HALL ANSWERS SOME OF THE OUTLANDISH OUT OF TOWN UNION CLAIMS

The CM PRESS agrees with the union that the City spends too much money, and that's why the CM PRESS has been suggesting that we right size government for years.

Unfortunately, the union doesn't want to right size government, it just wants us to spend more of our money on ever more union members and not spend money on fixing streets and bringing in some real improvement to the Westside.

Folks, the CM PRESS believes that this new City Council is on the right track, but we want the Council to spend a lot more money on improving the Westside.  We want to see the Council buy up some slum buildings, tear them down and put in pocket parks or even parking lots.  We need to thin out the slums--that's part of draining the swamp.

HOMELESS MAN INJURES 3-YEAR-OLD IN LIONS PARK

Give thanks to the Great White Mothers and Great White Fathers in the various charities and all their squishy supporters for this guy being in the park.

The next time you read a gushy newspaper article about all the swells and beautiful people from Newport Beach, the Eastside and Mesa Verde attending some soiree to raise money for the magnet charities in Costa Mesa, remember this incident.

Stop feeding and making illegal aliens, criminals, gang members and homeless people feel comfortable in Costa Mesa and they'll leave for greener pastures.

If the swells complain, send the illegal aliens, the criminals, the gang members and homeless people to their neighborhoods and see how long they put up with what the beleaguered residents of the Westside have to put up with every day.

Oh, you say we can't just put them on a bus and send them to the neighborhoods of the swells?  No problem, we don't have to do that at all.  They all have feet.

Just relocate the charities to Newport Beach, the Eastside or Mesa Verde and the illegal aliens, the criminals, the gang members and the homeless people will quickly find their way there.

AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING LAST NIGHT THE COUNCIL VOTED TO USE HUNTINGTON BEACH'S HELICOPTER SERVICE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS ON A TRIAL BASIS
[Photo of Robinson helicopter]

Leece and Mensinger voted against the proposal.

Odd comments from Mensinger.  He said he would support Leece's much more expensive proposal to keep the present program going for three months if she would agree that if it didn't make sense at the end of three months, the Council would do away with the program.

Leece then said she'd agree to that, and that's apparently what caused Mensinger to vote with her.

Our question to Mensinger:  Are you nuts?  Wendy can't be trusted.  She goes back on her word.  And, when she goes back on her word she always tries to justify it in some way as being for the best for the people of Costa Mesa.

HELICOPTER MADNESS

As we've written before, Costa Mesa flies expensive Eurocopters that are manufactured in France.  The company also has a facility in Texas.

Instead of flying the fancy Eurocopters, the CMPD should be using Robinson helicopters that are manufactured in Torrance.

Look folks, it's time for some common sense on this matter.

Eurocopters have a greater lift capacity than smaller Robinsons so if you want to pluck people off the sides of mountains, the Eurocopter might be a better choice.

However, Costa Mesa doesn't have any pluck worthy mountains.

Costa Mesa uses its helicopter as an eye in the sky.  That's it.  Period.  We need someone to look down from above to help ground cops with searches and chases and maybe frown at the bad guys and give them the stink eye.

The helicopters aren't armed.  No rockets. No chain guns. No door gunners.  Just a guy sitting in there looking down. Might as well be a guy in a lawn chair held up by balloons.

Some Robinson helicopters can be flown for about what it would cost you to operate an expensive luxury car.  And, the view from them of the ground is every bit as good as from a Eurocopter.

FOURTH OF JULY OBSESSION

Leece constantly brought up her concerns for the 4th of July. It was pretty silly. Relax Wendy, it'll be no big deal whether we have a helicopter in the air or not.

WENDY IS CONCERNED ABOUT CRIME

Leece also said she is afraid of crime and that the Westside has gangs. Of course, they're not in Wendy's gated community, but Wendy says she's seen some sneakers up on the power lines nearby.

Well no kidding, Leece.  There are gangs on the Westside because you and your illegal alien loving and charity pimp pals refuse to remove the habitats for gangs and you coddle the gangs by giving gang members and their families free services.

You want to get rid of alligators?  Drain the swamp and they'll leave all on their own.  You see, alligators are comfortable in swamps.  They get food there and they feel at home there.  If there's no swamp, they move to where they are comfortable.

Say, metaphorical CM PRESS...why...that's just like gangs and criminals.

You mean if Costa Mesa removes the magnets for gangs and criminals, they'll leave?  You mean if we stop giving them housing and feeding them, they'll move on?

Yup.  That's exactly what we mean. Improve the Westside properly and you'll be doing the equivalent of draining the swamp.

If you don't drain the swamp, you'll go broke trying to hire enough alligator cops to control the alligators.

LEFTY WENDY LEECE, THE CHARITY LOVING CHICKEN LITTLE ON THE CITY COUNCIL, IS SQUAWKING AGAIN

This time this loon says criminals are going to come to Costa Mesa if  the City doesn't fund the extravagant helicopter program.

Wendy has gone from being just slightly off kilter to being a full blown hysteric.

On her blog linked to above, Lefty Wendy says she had a ride along with the cops this week and, golly gosh, she was frightened and fears for our safety without the expensive helicopter program.

We wonder if the cop who took her on the ride along was the bad cop who gave out internal CMPD staffing information in a post in the Daily Pilot.

Look folks, this ride along stuff is often used by some cops for PR purposes and they take weak minded people like Leece along on a boogeyman route to get them to do the political bidding of the cops.

Once again, we wonder if the CMPD can be saved or if we should outsource the whole department to clear out the bad cops.

It'd be a shame to lose the many good cops over there, but the department seems to be under the control of a few out of town bad cops who are pushing social and political agendas instead of being professional police officers.

One rotten apple can ruin the whole barrel.

CHARITIES COME TO FEED ON YOUR MONEY THIS TUESDAY AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING

At Tuesday's City Council meeting, the Council will be asked to give approximately $ 184,348 of your money to charities in the city.

This money is about 15% of the the money that is returned to the City, in varying amounts, each year by HUD.  It is not fed money.  It is your money. It is from your taxes.

The money is supposed to be used in low income areas (like the Westside) to help improve cities.

As part of the deal, cities may, but are not required to, take the aforementioned 15% of the total amount  of money received from HUD and give it to charities instead of putting it into infrastructure.

Under many previous lefty city councils, Costa Mesa has, in fact, given this money to charities.

The CM PRESS says this money should all be used for infrastructure repairs and none of it should go to charities.

Here's something to consider as your juices of compassion start flowing.  When you as an individual give money to charities, you can take a tax deduction, however, when a city such as  Costa Mesa gives money to charities there is no such benefit.  The money is gone and it goes down a black hole.

The CM PRESS says let the charities raise money from those who want to give to them and who want the tax deductions and let's have the City of Costa Mesa use our money for tangible things that we can all see as we drive around our city:  repaired streets and parks, etc.

And, don't forget, some of the charity bosses are taking this money and using it for their salaries.  Some make a couple of hundred thousand bucks a year for their "compassion."

C'MON CITY COUNCIL LET'S HAVE A PROPER BALANCE AND USE COMMON SENSE

A Costa Mesa resident wrote a letter to the Daily Pilot [HERE] about being fined $ 150 for having a hedge that is out of code--even though the hedge has been there for many years.

Assuming that there is no more to the story than what the resident wrote, we think this is absurd.

If there was a complaint about her hedge, the City should have first given her a warning with no fine and then, only if she failed to comply, consider a fine.

While we want Costa Mesa to be upgraded and improved, we're totally against  heavy handed government doing what this letter writer claims was done to her.

We'd like to see the Council  reach out to this letter writer and get a reversal of her fine and we'd like to see the Council look at our codes to make sure we don't have things like this on the books where the City goes to fines without warnings.

Mutations are now known to happen all the time.  Most are very minor.  They occur because parts of the genetic code are knocked out of place or are changed around or in some way modified.

That's how nature tinkers with organisms to find some that will survive in different niches and in ever changing conditions.  If the mutations give a survival advantage to an organism those mutations will often eventually become the norm for the population as natural selection works its ways.

For example, the mutation for white skin  gave a survival advantage to those humans living in less sunny European areas of the globe because it allowed those with white skin to produce more Vitamin D which is necessary to prevent rickets.  Those with this mutation lived longer and had more children than those without the mutation and white skin became the norm in Europe thousands of years ago.

COSTA MESA WILL BE INTERVIEWING PROSPECTIVE POLICE CHIEFS THIS MONTH

Hopefully, a new police chief will either live in Costa Mesa now or will voluntarily agree to move here if he gets the job.

We need a police chief who will truly be part of this city and not one who will just drop in from time to time.

We need a police chief who is invested in this city; who has his kids and family here.

We need a police chief who knows on a visceral level what's going on in the city.

Police Chief isn't an easy job.  You have to be part cop, part father figure, part politician, part psychiatrist, and part businessman.  You have to earn the trust and confidence of your officers, yet you have to be able to discipline or fire bad cops.  You also have to earn the trust and confidence of the citizens.

And, here in Costa Mesa, activist citizens are going to demand that a new police chief uphold our laws against illegal aliens.  If a new chief does this, these activists will be happy, but the charity bosses and illegal alien supporters will be unhappy.

OC REGISTER ARTICLE ON PROPOSED CM BUDGET CUTS

The CM PRESS opinion:  More needs to be cut. The City government is still not right-sized.

Look to outsourcing the police.  Some in the CMPD have become the enemies of the residents of Costa Mesa, and the department may now be too far gone to fix.

We do not need a gang of out of town cops being paid with our tax money, running around this city with uniforms, badges and guns working against the best interests of the legal residents of this city.

It's time to restore faith and confidence in the police.

Nibbling around the edges trying to fix something that may be beyond repair with a patch here and a patch there may not get us the top to bottom professional police force that mostly lives in Costa Mesa and which respects the legal residents of this city.

Send the bad cops back to their homes in South County and let them butt into politics and harass and smear citizens in their own communities instead of being an invading force that shows up here in Costa Mesa.

Their families, their kids, their homes, their hearts are in South County.

We need professional cops whose families, kids, homes and hearts are right here in Costa Mesa. We need cops who are part of the Costa Mesa community. We don't need carpetbaggers.

BIG LA TIMES STORY ON COSTA MESA

The LA TIMES rubs the surface.

MILKY WAY HAS A TWIN

It's about 30 million light years away.

This isn't really a big story about something new, but it has a nice photo of one of billions of spiral galaxies.

'COPS' CREATOR SAYS HE SHOWS MORE WHITE CRIMINALS 'THAN STATISTICALLY WHAT THE TRUTH IS."

Hey, that's also what the CMPD seems to do.

Violent crime is not an equal opportunity employer, no matter what the bigoted anti-white propagandists want you to think.

WITH MAJOR BUDGET CUTS COSTA MESA STILL ALMOST A MILLION BUCKS IN THE HOLE

Maybe it's time to consider outsourcing the police functions.

Many citizens believe we can get better service for less money by having the Sheriff's Department provide such service to the residents of Costa Mesa.

In addition to saving money, it'll be nice to have officers on the streets who don't butt into our local politics and who don't let their personal prejudices dictate their actions.

And, if it doesn't work out, Costa Mesa can always go back to having its own police department in a few years after the bad apples have been cleared out of the present department.

We get contacted by residents all the time who tell us that they just don't trust the CMPD.

Usually, these residents will then say that they know there are some good officers in the department, but that they just no longer know who is good and who is bad and some feel that the few bad cops have now brought rot to the whole department.

These complaints we hear aren't just recent and they mostly seem to involve officers who have been with the department for years.

You may recall that one of the reasons that Allan Mansoor got involved in local politics was because he couldn't get the CMPD to do anything about the suspected illegal aliens who were disturbing his quiet use of his home that he then owned on the Westside.

Instead of upholding our quality of life laws, some of the cops would show up and give free food to suspected illegal aliens on Thanksgiving.

Then there was the report to the City Council by the CMPD that tried to hide the fact that all of Costa Mesa's seven gangs are Hispanic.

We still have that report and you can probably find it online.  It was a City Council Study Session Agenda Report dated February 22, 2007 for the meeting of March 13, 2007 with the subject: "Gang Status and Gang Initiative."

In the report, the bias of the CMPD shows in that the department wrote that there are seven local gangs in Costa Mesa. However, nowhere in the report does it use the terms Hispanic, Latino, Mexican, illegal alien. None of these gangs are characterized by race/ethnicity at all in any part of the report.

The ONLY mention of race/ethnicity in the entire report is in a long paragraph that says there are no "white supremacist" gangs in Costa Mesa. But then it goes on to discuss white supremacist gangs.

This hiding of race/ethnicity of real criminals while trying to make it seem that violent street crime is an equal opportunity employer is dangerous and can lull residents into a false sense of security and keep them from being on alert for possible danger. It can also help the criminals avoid capture.

More recently, and as we wrote in an earlier edition of the CM PRESS, there was a shotgun robbery in north Costa Mesa a couple of weeks ago, but the CMPD refuses to release a description of the suspects.

The initial claim made to us by the CMPD was that there was no such description because the suspects were covered up with [sweatshirt] hoods.

Then, in an ooops moment, a CMPD officer wrote us that the suspects were between 18 and 20 years old.

We then asked him how an approximate age could be determined if the victims hadn't seen the faces of the suspects.  We still haven't received an answer.

Wouldn't you like to know that when you call the cops that they are professional and will uphold our laws instead of trying to avoid enforcing them if they involve illegal aliens?

Wouldn't you like to be able to trust the cops who we pay so well and who we have empowered to run around our streets with uniforms, guns and badges?

Wouldn't you like to know that if a cop stops you, it's for a legitimate reason and that he hasn't profiled and targeted you because of your race, your religion or your politics and that he isn't just trying to harass and intimidate you?

Wouldn't you like to see the cops treat everyone the same and give full descriptions of all outstanding violent criminals on our streets, instead of hiding racial/ethnic descriptions except when the criminals are white?
