THE CM PRESS VERY SIMPLE RECIPE FOR REALLY GOOD, REALLY CRUNCHY ONION STRINGS (Modified 3/10/16)
1 cup all purpose flour (more or less doesn't change the recipe)
1/2 cup buttermilk (or make your own: 1T white vinegar or lemon juice to 1 C whole milk or evaporated milk--wait 5 minutes and use)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or more)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more) Optional.
1 large sweet onion, very, very thinly sliced (critical-- 1/16 to a max of about 1/8" --A quarter is about 1/16" thick)
Canola oil for deep frying.
Directions
Separate onion slices into rings. Let them soak for at least half an hour in the buttermilk. Combine the flour, salt, pepper an cayenne in another bowl. Heat the oil. Dip the soaked rings in dry batter. Dip part of one battered onion string in the oil, if it sizzles with small bubbles around it, the oil is ready. Fry the onion strings in batches for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until golden brown. You can let them bunch up and they still come up crunchy. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately or refrigerate. They should stay crispy in the refrigerator for a week and you can eat them cold or heat them in a microwave. Use for topping burgers, or if you have a grazer in your home they're good on top of salads.
I've tried other recipes, some with baking powder and other ingredients and some with wet batters and I've tried wider regular onion ring versions; they all came out soggy and limp or lost their crunch very fast. By contrast, this recipe is the only one I've had consistently good luck with for a tasty and long lasting crunchy result. They're very thin but they taste the way they should taste and have the mouth feel that you want. I make these in a carbon steel wok and they come out perfect.

What could be healthier than a pot full of pork fat?
3 lbs ground pork
3 minced onions
3/4 c water
1 t black pepper
1 t cinnamon (add more to taste if desired)
1 t ground cloves (can add more)
1 pinch garlic
Cook in pot on top of stove for several hours over low heat until all the water/fat is absorbed. Mash constantly with a potato masher as it cooks. Let cool for several hours in the refrigerator. It should have the consistency of a spreadable pate. Use as a spread on crackers, bread or bagels.

It was clear to the CM PRESS that Rousey had probably been talked to before the fight and was told that her fights had to last longer and be more than her just using her usual arm bar hold to win, if she wanted to keep bringing in audiences and money.
So, Rousey tried to slug it out with Holm. Big mistake. That's not Rousey's strength.
In the rematch, I suspect Rousey will revert to her winning style and not try to slug it out, but will grapple with Holm very early and get the arm bar hold on her and win.
The question some may ask is whether Rousey will be so pissed off at being knocked out in their first fight that she'll ignore a Holm tap out and break Holm's arm.

DID GRAVITY KILL THE DINOSAURS?
Two news stories that might make one wonder.
1. Astronaut Scott Kelly returned this week from the space station two inches taller than his identical twin brother on Earth. He had been on the space station for about a year. He will shrink back to his old height in time.
2. It was recently confirmed that gravity moves in waves.
-So, the assumption is that less gravity made Kelly taller. More gravity will shorten him.
-Waves, including gravity waves, are not constant. They get stronger and they get weaker.
-Could the reason the dinosaurs grew so large be that the Earth had weaker gravity?
-And, could the massive die-off of the dinosaurs have been caused by gravity waves getting stronger?

THE CM PRESS RECIPE FOR NEW ENGLAND FRIED CLAMS
With this exclusive, easy, and inexpensive recipe, you'll think you're in Essex or Ipswich, Mass. This serves one person.
There are many fried clam recipes available and some have you soak the clams in milk rather than the egg mixture, but the recipe below gives you clams that have the texture and taste of most clams I had when I was growing up in New England.
You can also use this recipe for fried chicken.
1 can Trader Joe's Maine Whole Cherrystone clams (6.5. oz)
1 Egg beaten w/ 1T of water in small bowl. Do not mix with dry ingredients.
1/2" +-of corn or canola oil
Dry ingredients:
1/2 cup all purpose flour (You can add 1t of cornmeal to this if you want.)
1/4 t of black pepper
1/4 t of seasoned salt
1/4 t of paprika
pinch of onion powder
pinch of garlic powder
pinch of cayenne pepper
Rinse and throw the clams in the egg/water mixture. Then dredge them in the dry ingredients (flour/spices).
Heat the oil in a heavy pan until it shimmers. Put the coated clams in. Fry for about a minute on each side until golden brown. Remove and put on a paper towel.
Add some french fries, some tarter sauce and some coleslaw and you have a full meal.

In all three cases the White Marines were attacked from behind. In two of the cases the White Marines had been out having drinks, so they were easy victims of hate filled Blacks.
Did you read about these three cases in the mainstream media? Nope. Why? It's because the victims are White and the attackers Black. The mainstream media tries to hide such hate crimes unless the victims are Black and the attackers White.
Note: These young Marines aren't being attacked because they're Marines--they'e in civies. They're being attacked because they're White and look vulnerable because they've just left a bar or have their backs to the several attackers who hit them over the head from behind.

For instance, "ethnic self-hatred" is the extreme dislike of one's ethnic group or cultural classification... .
We have a few self-haters here in Costa Mesa, but they are mostly seen as the cucks and nutcases that they are. A bigger problem is that that are too many Whites who are cowed and afraid to be who they are lest they be called names. These silent ones enable the haters who are emboldened by the silence.
Long time readers will have read my column calling for a White Legislative Caucus up in Sacramento to join the already existing Black Legislative Caucus, the Latino Legislative Caucus, the Asian-Pacific Islander Caucus and the Jewish Caucus, when I've run that column, few Whites speak up to say it's time to have such a caucus to represent our interests. Why is that? Aren't Whites a people? Don't we have interests that need to be protected?
Are you catching on, yet, Whitey? Speak out for your interests. Speak out against the hate against you and yours. Stop being so damn timid.
