EUROPEAN-AMERICANS NEED A CAUCUS IN THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE

It was recently announced that State Senator Marty Block, (D-San Diego), started the Legislative Jewish Caucus and that this caucus will also form a political action committee to raise money for Israel-friendly candidates. Block told the press that the Legislative Jewish Caucus "isn't a religious based organization.  We see this as an ethnic organization."  This statement was presumably made to both forestall Muslims from starting a Muslim Legislative Caucus and also to head off complaints that the Legislative Jewish Caucus is breaching the wall between religion and state.

At any rate, the Legislative Jewish Caucus, as an ethnic/racial organization, now joins the  Asian Pacific Islander Caucus, the Legislative Black Caucus and the Latino Legislative Caucus.

These caucuses work, sometimes behind the scenes and out of public view, to represent the interests of their ethnic/racial  groups.  They write legislation and take other actions on behalf of their particular ethnic/racial groups even though the people they are acting on behalf of may not live in their districts. In other words, unlike the traditional American political notion that people elected to public office represent a specific geographic area, these ethnic caucus members represent "their people," no matter where they live in the state.

An example of what the members of these ethnic/racial caucuses do was presented in the Daily Pilot recently in a story about State Assemblyman Roger Hernandez, a member of the Latino Legislative Caucus, who has authored a bill that would force cities such as Costa Mesa to end city wide voting and replace it with district voting.  District voting is a scheme that will lead to gerrymandered districts in Costa Mesa, in an attempt to include Latino voters in certain districts and exclude White voters from the districts.

On the welcome page of the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus we read this:  "[T]he Caucus was founded in 2001 and serves to represent and advocate for the interests of the APIA community...."

On the Website of the Latino Legislative Caucus we read: "The Mission of the California Latino Legislative Caucus is to identify, promote and advocate on behalf of the professional, educational, social, political and cultural interests of the Latino Community."

And, on the Website of the Legislative Black Caucus we read: "The continuing mission of the CLBC is to provide our unwavering commitment and support to our goal of achieving full inclusion of our state’s Africans American residents in every aspect of California life – from education and employment to housing and health to commerce and government services."

So, there you have it.  Four ethnic/racial organizations all advocating for the interests of their people.  Who advocates for White people?  No one.

Now, some who haven't kept up with the news may say that a White Legislative Caucus isn't needed because Whites are in the majority in the state.  Actually, we're not.  Latinos have ether reached numbers parity or have exceeded the size of the White population.  Some others may argue that Whites are not an ethnicity, but a race, and that we shouldn't lump the various White ethnicities (or people who originated in many different European nations) together under one rubric such as White.  Well, the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus lumps various Asian and Pacific Islander populations together, and the Legislative Black Caucus is based on race.  

I'll ask and answer this question once again:  Who represents Whites and White interests?  No one.

It's time to change that.  Will we now see some White legislators start a White Legislative Caucus?  Probably not.  Why?  Because Whites have been so brow beaten about race that it seems many are even afraid to order a gallon of white paint at the hardware store lest they be called racist.  The result of this racial intimidation that Whites have undergone for years is that Whites are left without any real representation for their particular interests (and we have many) in the state legislature.

Those timid souls who are so brow beaten that they run from the word "white," can simply use the term European-American if it makes them feel more comfortable.

[Hatred of men and maleness]

A neurotic misandrist (it means a hater of men and maleness) often expresses her/his* hatred of men and maleness  in oblique ways.

So, instead of attacking men directly, a misandrist will often complain about stereotypical and common male characteristics and virtues and twist these into something negative.

Here's a translation:

Men are often direct and to the point. A misandrist will twist this into men being "arrogant or mean."

Men are often decisive. A misandrist will twist this into "dictator."

Men often try to solve problems and focus--engineer like--on the problems.  A misandrist just wants to have a shoulder to cry on and doesn't really care about solving the real problem. She/he will twist the male problem solving focus into a case of "not listening (silently) to her/him."

*Certain low testosterone/high estrogen males often also exhibit misandry.  These males are not necessarily homosexual, but are more in the category of hormone eunuchs.  They often lack the characteristic male bony or angular features and some, even into advanced age, have trouble growing beards or facial hair.  They will often have soft, puffy, baby-fat flesh and flaccid muscles.  Of course, it's not their fault that they lack a proper supply of testosterone and have too much estrogen, but this imbalance does turn some of them into man haters even though physically they have male plumbing.

MISANDRISTS ON PARADE

Have you noticed that most of the haters who constantly whine and hen peck about Mayor Righeimer and Mayor Pro Tem Mensinger and Councilmember Monahan are women with a few wussy men mixed in?

These same people have no problem with women on the council.

Frankly, I think many of these women and the  BFF wussy men who hang out with them hate men and the whole idea of men and manliness.

The technical word for such manhaters is "misandrist."

The  male misandrists among the misandristic women seem to lack a proper amount of testosterone and may have too much estrogen. I think one of them doesn't even have to shave.

The misandrist women will deny that they hate men and they'll point to some wussy man who is their husband or friend to prove that they really don't hate men, but don't buy it.  The way misandry often manifests itself is in expressions of hatred about normal male characteristics which the misandrists pervert and twist to mean something negative.

For example, the misandrists constantly say that Mayor Righeimer is rude, or that he doesn't listen, or that he ignores them, or that he is arrogant, or that he is a bully.

Most normal men who have observed the mayor might scratch their heads at such negative characterizations of the mayor, because we see him as being efficient and professional and doing his job in the way a man should do the job of mayor.  We don't see any rudeness, we see him listening, we don't see him ignoring anyone, and we don't see the arrogance or bullying.

But the man haters--the female and the wussy male misandrists--call a man acting like a man all these negative terms. These people are neurotic and are overly emotional psychological wrecks who wear their emotions on their sleeves and who seem to look for opportunities to be insulted. They just don't like men.  They wish men were more like women and talked about their emotions all the time.  These man haters and their wussy male pals don't want a mayor.  They want a therapist, a best girlfriend, a hairdresser, a shoulder to cry on, a mommy who will just listen and who will commiserate with them.

WE TRY AGAIN TO EXPLAIN TO KNOW NOTHINGS WHAT IS GOING ON IN COSTA MESA AS FAR AS DEVELOPMENT GOES AND WHY IT IS HELPING IMPROVE COSTA MESA

Many of the haters constantly rail against the new homes being built in Costa Mesa
and few of these people have any understanding of real estate, retail shopping centers, demographics or how to shape a city.

Here, again, is a very brief primer.

1.  People make a city what it is.

2.  Not all people are the same.

3.  The important factors that make people different are called demographics.

4.   Major retail chains live and die on demographic reports.

5.   Demographic reports can be as long as 30 or so pages, but most are no more 5 pages.

6.   The Demographic reports are usually constructed around  1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile and 5 mile rings on a map.  The center of these rings is usually a specific address or intersection of streets in a city.

7.   The people in those 1, 2, 3 and 5 mile rings are described and quantified in the Demographic reports. Thus, if you read such a report you'll know how many people of different races/ethnicities live in the rings. You'll also learn the age ranges of the people, their education levels, their individual and family income levels and how many males and females there are in the rings and what their ages are. And, there is much more information depending on how complete and long the report is and what you have asked for in the report.

8.  If you run a company with a chain of stores or restaurants and you want to expand (and they all do) you know from your internal figures which of your stores or restaurants are doing well and which are not (called high performing or low performing in the biz).  With this in mind, you look at the demographics around the high performing and under performing stores or restaurants in your chain.

Are the  high performing stores or restaurants all located in areas with certain demographics such as race/ethnicity, income levels, education levels, gender, education levels, etc.?  Are the low performing stores also in areas where certain demographic factors just pop out at you?  With this information you are now ready to think about opening new stores or restaurants.

9.  The next thing you do is try to find locations around the country that have  demographics that are very close to those around your high performing stores or restaurants.  At the same time, you avoid those areas that have demographics similar to those around your underperforming stores or restaurants.

This brings us to Costa Mesa...

Back in the late '90's, the Improvers looked at the demographics of the Westside.  We found demographics that would not attract quality retailers.  The area could only attract underfunded stores, liquor stores, second hand stores, charities, pawn shops and similar businesses that exist in areas with low income demographics.

Why weren't upwardly mobile people moving to the Westside--the part of Costa Mesa that is closest to the ocean?  Well, there were many reasons and not all of them could be addressed directly for reasons I need not go into here.  However, some things could be addressed and this involved encouraging small lot home developers to build homes on the Westside.

In order to sweeten the pot for them and make the risk worth taking (and it was a risk) we offered some concessions in density and other factors. If we had held them to our usual standards, none of them would take the risk; simply because with all their on-site and off-site expenses in buying land, razing what was on the land and building just a few  homes, they may not have been able to make a profit.  So, we had to let them build more homes on a lot than usual and we had to let them build taller, and to do various other things that made building homes on the Westside (with its gangs, etc.) make sense to them.

The thinking then, and now, is that if you build new homes with modern amenities similar to what you would find in, say, Newport Beach or Irvine, that you could sell them for less than what you would have to sell them for in Newport or Irvine (because of the concessions)  and still attract people who had high incomes.

And, once you brought in people with higher incomes, the demographic reports would start shooting up and this would get the attention of the major national retail and restaurant companies and they would suddenly find the Westside an attractive place to do business.

Then, as the major quality retailers competed to be in an area that was quickly improving, even more upwardly mobile people would find the area attractive and move there.

And, that's exactly what is happening on the Westside (and city wide) and this is thanks to the Righeimer Council which dusted off the long ignored Westside Plans (which are really city wide plans, shhhhh, don't tell anyone).

This is how Costa Mesa is improving.  Now, our schools are still lagging and many upwardly mobile people (you know that is a PC euphemism), still refuse to send their kids to schools in Costa Mesa, but in time that will change as the demographics change for the better.

RIGHEIMER is the sparkplug who has implemented the Westside Plans, which are really the Costa Mesa Plans.  Without him, they'd still be on a dusty shelf.  These plans are improving the infrastructure and the demographics of the city.  We are now attracting upwardly mobile residents instead of gang members and people who need welfare and free hand outs.

SIMPSON is a mother and grandmother and is as solid as Mom and Apple pie.  She has a good heart and will do the right things for Costa Mesa.  She does not have political ambitions and will vote her good heart rather than making political calculations on her votes.

The usual disgusting creeps and left wing kooks are attacking Simpson for being a good, solid American woman.  They are trying to convince voters that she is just an unsophisticated "square," and that she's not with it .  They hate traditional Americans.  They think Normal Rockwell's America is something to get rid of.

First, this guy was only supposed to have come into contact with 18 people (that was so obviously false that it was laughable), then the number rose to 80 and then to 100.

The truth is that there are many hundreds of people who may have had contact with this guy--or with the virus he left behind when he touched things--in the airports and on the planes he used to get to Texas from Liberia.  And, we don't know if any of those people are now infected, and if they are, how many others did they come into contact with?

Nature constantly tinkers with DNA and RNA to allow the life that is created from it to find ways to survive and multiply to get around things thrown in its way.  And, right now, nature is tinkering with Ebola.  Of course, nature is also tinkering with humans.  The problem here is that Ebola produces many, many generations in a very short time so evolution happens faster as compared to a human scale. A human generation is usually considered to be 20 years.  In that time, Ebola would produce thousands of new generations.

ABOUT IMPROVEMENT...

From time to time we hear arguments from the local haters that we Costa Mesans must not move forward with improvement because to do so might inconvenience people who live in slum properties or who have businesses that might be replaced by other more successful businesses.

Such arguments often take the form of: "Where are they to go if we throw them out on the streets?"

Now, a few things about that:

1.  No one is thrown out on the streets.

2.  Costa Mesa is not an island out in the middle of the ocean. People can move just a few miles up the road to another city if they find the living or business conditions for their particular situation better there.

3.  Why should we keep downscale conditions just because some people want those conditions?  Why would anyone think the rights of  people who want to keep Costa Mesa downscale, so rents and other living and business conditions remain static and stuck in the past, take precedence over the rights of those who want to improve the city? There are no free rides in nature, and not letting Costa Mesa improve in order to not displace those who can't keep up is giving them a free ride at the expense of those who want improvement.

All of existence is competition and the competition exists even in ideas and it exists in the personalities of humans.  Some people have drive, ability and ambition and want the best.   Should those with drive, ability and ambition hobble themselves because others lack those qualities?  Of course not.

Costa Mesa has a great geographic location.  It is one of the best seats in the house.  And, this being the case, it should be allowed to rise to its proper and natural level as the competition bids up the price to what the market will bear, rather than being artificially kept low.

MORE ON THE 2,300 MARINES GOING TO KUWAIT

Although the above linked article makes this sound like something new, this Marine crisis unit appears to be very much like the Marine Expeditionary Units that I was part of in the past.

Perhaps the new here is the fact that the Marines will be on land instead of on ships and that their location is Kuwait, but everything else about the unit says MEU.

MEUs are fast, agile and adaptive and they're like a hot knife through butter when they're given a go order.  There is no "May I please"or "Excuse me" or "Golly, let's talk about it." MEUs are designed to go in fast and heavy, kill the enemy and then move on to the next objective and let other friendly forces hold the ground that the MEU just scorched.

UPDATE: 8:49, 10/2/14--The Los Angeles Times is now reporting that the number of people being monitored in Texas for possible Ebola infections has increased to up to 100. HERE

The numbers keep rising as more facts emerge.  Earlier reports said he had only been in contact with 18 people.

The question now is how many of the 80 did he infect and how many of those infected others and so on and so on and so on.

Also, the Dallas Ebola patient was seen violently throwing up outside his apartment building as he was taken to the ambulance.

Now there is a second likely EBOLA patient in Dallas who apparently was in close contact with the first Ebola patient.  This means everyone this second EBOLA patient was in contact with will now have to be contacted and isolated.

Thanks, Obama, for bringing all these Africans to the U.S.  Their contribution to our society: crime, social dysfunction and killer diseases.

Whatever happened to the policy of only admitting immigrants who could help the U.S.?

PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION APPROVES LIGHTS FOR THE FIELDS AT KAISER SCHOOL

Last night, the Parks and Recreation Commission, over the protests of neighbors, approved putting lights on the fields at Kaiser School so soccer games and practice can continue after dark during the fall and winter months.

This is not a good solution to the problem of too few sports fields in Costa Mesa. And, other solutions being floated, such as putting sports fields in Fairview Park or reducing the golf course from 18 holes to 9 holes to accommodate sports fields are just as bad.

What is a good long term solution?  The one the CM PRESS has been pushing for years: Buy up and raze some of the slum buildings on the Westside and put in soccer fields right where the demand is the highest.  Expensive?  Sure.  But that's what happens when you have many years of do-nothing liberals on the city council and the two commissions who failed to provide that stitch in time to save nine.

Today, the good people on the city council and the two commissions are trying to correct the mistakes of the do-nothings who preceded them.

Added benefits of the CM PRESS FIELD PLAN will be reduced crime, more parking, fewer slums, more green space, fields properly designed so lights at night won't bother residents, no need to travel across town in cars to get to distant soccer fields.
