There were so many brand new babies there last night who weren't even at the crawling stage yet, that it looked like a maternity ward after a county wide power outage.  And, some of the relatives whose kids are just now reaching the crawling stage are expecting again by this summer.

HAVE YOU SEEN SOME OF THE DUMB COMMENTS  FROM FITZPATRICK HATERS ABOUT FITZPATRICK SERVING BOTH ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND THE SANITARY DISTRICT?

Some of the comments misstate the situation  by a mile.

HERE'S the summary opinion of the Attorney General.  Read it for yourself.

As you can see from the above opinion, all the AG is saying is that it's not a settled matter whether there is a conflict in this situation and that a court should decide whether the two offices are incompatible or not.

Look, folks,  if the AG can't figure out if there is a conflict or not, then how is someone such as Fitzpatrick, who is just an ordinary citizen trying to serve the community, supposed to know if there's a conflict?

That's where we are. The question is whether or not Fitzpatrick's duties on the Planning Commission somehow substantially overlap with his duties on the Sanitary District such that a decision made on Planning might also impact a decision  he would make on Sanitary, and vice versa?

The question is similar to what one might ask in a small town where the only police officer is also the only judge.  So, if you get a traffic ticket issued by the police officer, you must then face the same guy who is also the judge.  How do you think the judge will rule?  Right.  Clearly there's a conflict here.  However, it is not so clear as between the Planning Commission and the Sanitary District.

Remember also, that one guy over at the Sanitary District was also serving on the Sanitary District and the Newport-Mesa Unified School Board at the same time a couple of years ago.  Conflict?  Probably not, but had anyone questioned the dual roles, the AG might well have given an opinion that the courts should decide, just as the AG has done in the Fitzpatrick matter now.

Actually, since Fitzpatrick has resigned from the Planning Commission, the court might just say the question is moot.

ANOTHER GUSHY COLUMN--THIS ONE ABOUT THE CURRENT

Remember how we wrote that Frank Mickadeit over at the OC REGISTER had written a whistling past the graveyard column about the paper?

This is Barbara Venezia

Well, now Barbara Venezia, the lady who seems to channel Lucille Ball's red hair dye, and who sometimes wears clothes that look like they were painted in a Santa Ana low rider shop, has a similar column today in the Register HERE, but her column is  specifically about the CURRENT.

Anyway, Venezia gushes about how the Current may soon go to five days a week.

So, what's really going on at the Register empire that has the new owners seemingly bucking the trend of newspapers cutting back and going out of business?

As we wrote before, our spidey sense tells us that the new owners may  be pumping up the various components of the company to part them out and sell them. At least that's what we would be thinking about if we owned the company.

So, if we're right, and if the owners of the paper can pump up the Current to be a real competitor to the Daily Pilot, and show a profit, they may use the profit figures to put a value on the paper and offer it for sale.

Now, given the sad state of the newspaper business today, the most likely buyers for the Current will be the staff of the Current itself, and it wouldn't surprise us if the staff  took that leap and bought themselves jobs.

No, we don't have any inside information.  We just have some small inkling about how things work.

What to look for next:  If we were orchestrating things over at the Register, and if they're doing what we guess they may be doing, we'd be putting our most aggressive display ad reps at work in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach to fill the Current with ads.  And, the first place we'd send our ad reps is to all the advertisers who are currently advertising in the Pilot and offer them cut rates in the Current for the same or better circulation as they get in the Pilot.

As you may know, in advertising, one of the standard terms is CPM, or cost per thousand.  This is how advertisers compare apples and apples and  figure out if their advertising money is being well spent or not.  So, if the Current can show present Pilot advertisers that they'll get a lower CPM at the Current, we'll see an ad war going on that may hurt the Pilot if the folks there aren't on their toes.  In such an ad war, with each side cutting the price of their ad space,  the battle is often won by whoever has the deepest pockets and can keep it up the longest.

You may also see more puff pieces in both papers about  advertisers, because to get  good accounts, the display ad reps can often offer such free puff pieces in exchange for a certain number of paid ads. Frankly, the puff pieces often bring in more customers to retailers than do the paid ads.

Remember, folks, newspapers aren't in business to give you news.  They're in business to make a profit and they make their profit from advertising.  To get you to see the advertising, they give you news and columns that you want to read.

The White girl said she doesn't know why she was attacked.  How stupid can you be?  She was attacked because of the color of her skin.  The establishment keeps trying to hide hate crimes where Whites are the victims while making it seem as though non-Whites are the usual victims.

POLICE STATE HORROR ON TEXAS FREEWAY [Video]

Two women are stopped for the minor offense of  throwing a cigarette butt out of their car and are then given full cavity searches right next to the freeway in plain view of other motorists.

And, the female cop who did the full cavity searches allegedly used the same gloves on both women. Ewwwwww!

LATINOS ATTACK WHITE SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO MAYOR ON PUBLIC STREET

You won't read that the attackers were Latino in the above PC report in the OC REGISTER, but we have that information from other sources.  Also, you will note that the press is reporting that no motive is known for the attack since there was no attempt to rob the mayor.  The attackers simply attacked him and beat him.

You will also note that the Register tried to bury this story by putting it in their San Juan Capistrano section instead of putting it in as a major story as it should have been.  Folks, the guy who was attacked is a mayor--that should be big news.

Here's a motive:  They are non-White and he is White.  It should be investigated as a hate crime.

Oh, that's right, only Whites commit hate crimes, like when a Black reports, with no corroboration, that some clerks in a supermarket said "chocolate milk," when she was nearby. This was actually in a column on hate crimes written by a Register columnist. Sigh.

COSTA MESA OFFICIALLY RECINDS 70 LAYOFF NOTICES

[City press release below]

The City of Costa Mesa officially rescinded on Tuesday the remaining layoff notices given to employees whose jobs were being considered for outsourcing. Per the City Council direction earlier this month, 70 letters are being sent to impacted employees informing them that the notices had been withdrawn.

“I know this period has been difficult for you, your department and the City, and I appreciate your professionalism through it all,” wrote City Chief Executive Officer Tom Hatch in the letter to employees. “We still have significant budget challenges ahead, but we will work through them together. I hope you, your family and friends have a peaceful and safe holiday season.”

The City has asked the Costa Mesa City Employees’ Assn. to dismiss the lawsuit it filed to prevent the outsourcing and related layoffs. It is the City’s hope that the lawsuit can be dropped without going back to court and incurring additional legal costs.

Thailand born Eddie Nimibutr, who is either the owner or chef (depending on who you ask) of the Thai Noodle House in Austin, Texas, is taking heat for his above comment on his Facebook page.

One of the sad things about this is that many of the presumably White commenters who are giving Nimibutr heat don't seem to realize that Nimibutr isn't alone among non-Whites, and even self-hating Whites, in such thoughts.

In fact, most Whites seem to be completely unaware of the hatred that many non-Whites have for all Whites, including little White kids.

No matter how many hate attacks on Whites these sleep walking Whites read about and no matter how many jokes they hear about killing all the White people from scum such as  Black Jamie Foxx, these out of touch Whites still don't get it, as they laugh along at the jokes about killing Whites, or as they try to minimize the hatred for and physical attacks that happen every day against innocent Whites who are lulled into a false sense of security by having the facts hidden from them by the establishment.

NIKKI HALEY APPOINTS BLACK REP. TIM SCOTT TO SENATE

The panderers in the GOP think they've found a good Black to put in the window.

Fellow Conservative,

You may have already heard, but just a short while ago I was proud to announce that I have appointed Congressman Tim Scott to the U.S. Senate to succeed retiring Senator Jim DeMint.

This choice is not only historic, but it should make every conservative extremely happy.

How will this play in the Black community? Well, we guess that most Blacks will see right through this racial pandering and will view Scott as a sell out. One Black radio host has already said that Scott is "Black only in skin color."

Meanwhile, the likes of Rush Limbaugh will put Scott front and center to prove that the GOP is color blind (so long as non-Whites act White).  It's all so artificial.

Watch now, as Scott is put on a fast track and is trotted out at every opportunity and praised to high heaven for every little thing he does.


However, our guess is that at some point, Scott will pull a Colin Powell and come out as Black and will give the finger to the Whites who have been trying to use him as their poster boy. Then, the White phonies will quickly discard him.

Honestly, folks, the way some Republicans act towards non-Whites is so phony and even condescending that it's a wonder any non-Whites can even stand to be around these people.

Remember the way some GOP suits acted right here in Orange County because a White GOP grandmother sent out an email to a few friends that made fun of Obama?  They were outraged, outraged, I say.  The outrage was over the top and totally out of proportion to what the woman had done, but that's just part of the pandering that some of these good Whites do.  They drool all over themselves to prove that they have no sense of who and what they are, and they expect every other White to be the same way.  But, of course, these are the same guys who heap effusive praise on Blacks and other non-Whites for showing racial pride in their own groups.

ONE BLACK ARRESTED IN GANG BEATING OF WHITE FORMER MARINE MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT

Beat him over the head with a bottle and then ten or so of them kicked him while he was on the ground.

Whites have largely been psychologically neutered when faced with Blacks who are intent on attacking them for the color of their skin.  The fear is that if Whites defend themselves, they'll be charged with hate crimes.

If he had been armed and had shot a couple of them, he'd be given even worse treatment than George Zimmerman is getting, because the ex-Marine really is White and not Hispanic.

COLUMN ABOUT HANUKKAH IN THE DAILY PILOT THAT MISSES THE REAL POINT

In his revisionist column in the Daily Pilot about Hanukkah, Rabbi Marc Gellman writes that  in Christmas and Hanukkah we can find  "meanings that unite us."

That's not what Hanukkah is about.

There are actually two messages in Hanukkah and neither one is about unity.  The first is the power of just a few people to change history, and the second is that the continued existence of distinct peoples requires separation.

In brief, what happened back in history was that Antiochus IV was trying to wipe out all distinct peoples by having them blend together (read assimilate, if you wish) racially, religiously and nationally under his vision of one mankind.

One Jewish family, the Maccabees, resisted this blending and were what today we would call separatists.

As Gellman does indicate; because of the separatist (he doesn't use that word though) Maccabees, who refused to assimilate, there are still Jews in the world today.

THE LONELY OLD MAN

Winter is a sadder time than usual for the Lonely Old Man because winter brings with it two reminders of a wasted life.

The first reminder  is the season itself  which is nature's time of old age. The second is Christmas, which is a time for kids. Having a surfeit of the former and none of the latter has left the Lonely Old Man bitter to the point where he effetely strikes out at life itself and those who are full of life.

Of course, the Lonely Old Man has a weak and dull mind and this tends to blunt his awareness of how deficient he is compared to others. This ameliorates his bitterness a little.

With such a dull mind, the Lonely Old Man is simply not fully aware that he's not fully aware.

It is ever so that nature will soften the blow in such ways when it makes one as deficient as the Lonely Old Man.  Just as nature has given the Lonely Old Man slightly lower than normal intelligence, it has also given him lower consciousness so that he is unable to realize that he has low intelligence.

You can imagine, dear friends, how madding it would be if nature gave one low intelligence such as it has given the Lonely Old Man, but at the same time had given him occasional higher consciousness such that he could almost step outside of himself momentarily and look back at himself and be aware that he was trapped inside a deficient brain.

As a child, the Lonely Old Man would play with mud and be content all day long with making mud pies, while the kids around him would be making rockets  and complex castles.

 Because of his limited intelligence, the Lonely Old Man couldn't even see that what he was doing and what the other kids were doing was any different, so he was happy in his own simple way. And, this is the way his whole life progressed.

As he grew up, he took a job in an office and he spent decades shuffling paper. Because of his dull mind, he felt fulfilled.  After all, he got a paycheck.  He could buy food. He could buy a new car every so often.  Yes, life was good for the dull minded Lonely Old Man.

Today, in his old age, his thoughts are simple ones as they have always been.  But, now, in his rare lucid moments, he is vaguely aware of his mortality and the eternal nothingness that awaits him, and he wonders if this is all there is to life: buying a new car, buying small meals for himself and eating them in a sterile home that has never known the laughter of children.

As he looks in his mirror, the Lonely Old Man sees, looking back at him, one who looks like a eunuch. But the Lonely Old Man does not know this word.  The facial features of the one in the mirror are too soft for a man, but he doesn't realize this. The flesh is pallid and squishy, but it looks normal to him. There is no squareness and there are no chiseled features, he thinks that's fine. His beard has never grown very fast and he rarely needs to shave, but he thinks that's normal. He sees soft feminine looking skin and features covering a layer of body fat that is the usual product of estrogen rather than  testosterone, but he doesn't see the pattern. He sees a face without the life force, but doesn't know it.  He sees the body of someone who is  incapable of making more like himself, but he tells himself--ever so emptily--that he never wanted children anyway, they're such a bother.

But, again, do not waste too much pity on the Lonely Old Man and his barren and infertile existence marked by the fact that he lacks generative power both in his brain and his loins for with his slow brain he has little understanding of the fact that life is like a relay race and one is given a baton by one's ancestors to carry for a time and then hand off to one's descendants so that the family line and the DNA recipe that is unique to that family line carries on, maybe one day, to the stars.

Stars?  The Lonely Old Man is barely aware of them.  They are just lights in the sky.  He has no thoughts of someday having his DNA recipe land on planets around far distant stars.  Such thoughts are too big for the Lonely Old Man.  His thoughts are about buying a TV dinner, and reminiscing about how he sure liked making those mud pies when he was a child.

He goes to the window and peers through the blinds and it is dark outside and he sees nothing. Nothing but darkness.  Just nothing. Nothing more. Forever.
