U.S. READY FOR A MASSIVE CHANGE AND  A STRONGMAN?

The economy stinks, the laws are a confused mess, presidential candidates are calling for another war, our borders aren't secure, illegal aliens are given benefits that citizens are denied, foreign nations are dictating to us. Most politicians are on the wrong track. Our rights are being eroded.  Our major cities are turning into no-go zones. It goes on and on.

This is the stuff of past revolutions and may be the stuff of  legions of  "we told you so," seers who always seem to be able to see the past, but not the future and who are blind to the present.

BATTLE OF THE BELL FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT

Game starts at 7:00.  You may want to get there by 6:00 to get the best seats and not miss any of the action.
Tickets are $8.00 and parking is $5.00.

This is  a game worth watching on many levels.  Yes, it's a football game, but even if you don't like football, you might like it as a game of strategy.

Think chess but with real people.  Unlike college and pro football teams, the coaches of each high school have to work with the kids who go to the schools and who want to play football.

The coaches have to use what comes to them.  Some years you get huge natural linemen.  Some years you get a speedster. Some years you aren't so lucky. This means the coaches have to find the strengths and weaknesses of their own players and the strengths and weakeness of the players on the other team in order to have a hope of winning. And, the players themselves are all young and don't yet fully know what they can and can't do.

One team may have a speedster or two but no one to block for them. And, they may have no passers. The other team may have a guy with a strong arm but no one who can catch a ball.   It's up to the coaches to put their players in positions where they can do the most good and counter what the other team is expected to do. The permutations are just about endless.

Wally Grant is the new head coach at Costa Mesa High School and he has a lot to prove as a newbie.

Coach Bargas over at Estancia wants to keep winning and not let CMHS win this most important game in the city.

So, I'm at Slum Goddess Wendy Leece's little raza meeting the other night (which I already reported on), and I hear this little girly(?) voice call "Hi Martin," in something that sounds like English, coming from way across the room. I then look up and see a character that looks like a combo Captain Kangaroo and a pot bellied pig--a Werepig, maybe, kissing up to Leece.  I know my eyes must be playing tricks on me so I put my glasses on and see that it is this lefty West; so I ignore him, as usual.  However, I was able to snap the photo below, which was just after West and Leece gave each other a big hug.

HOW TO GROW CRIME & SOCIAL DYSFUNCTION

The way to grow crime and social dysfunction in present day Costa Mesa is to concentrate low income people, suspected illegal aliens, and the charities that serve them in one area which then becomes an ethnic ghetto.

This is what is happening to large parts of the Westside.

With that in mind, here are some photos of last night's Town Hall Meeting at Pomona School.

Pals

Charities

Most there couldn't speak English

Crissy Brooks

Part of the gang detail
One of the Gang officers told the audience that there are six Hispanic turf gangs in Costa Mesa and they're located mostly south of Joann Street.  He said that the gang detail, comprised of six officers, a parole officer and an Asst. DA, spends most of its time dealing with the gangs around Pomona School.

So far this year, according to the same officer, there have been 4 stabbings and 2 attempted murders in Area 1 which includes the area around Pomona School. These, along with 131 vehicle burglaries and 60 auto thefts are included in the year to date total of 729 major crimes in Area 1.

Yes, dear readers, the Westside  is the Worstside  and is the crime center of  Costa Mesa.  And, this is an abomination and  is artificially maintained.

Do you think it's just a coincidence that it's also an ethnic ghetto with many illegal aliens, or do you think the two things might be related?

And, if you think they're related, might you not also conclude, as we have, that the way to solve the problem is to drain the swamp?  Which is to say, remove some of the cheap, functionally obsolete apartment buildings, spread the charities out, and stop rewarding people to remain in the ghetto?

The Westside should be the Bestside but it never will be unless the City Council starts taking bold action to make it so.

GREAT WHITE MOTHER WENDY LEECE'S MEETING AT POMONA SCHOOL TONIGHT

HERE, is the School Accountability Report Card for Pomona School.

We've pulled a few facts from the report card for your convenience and show them below.

Pomona School gets its students from the surrounding Westside neighborhoods so the school data is illustrative of the area.

These neighborhoods will never improve so long as we have people like Wendy Leece who help keep  them as ethnic ghettos by making suspected illegal aliens feel comfortable there.

All areas of  the Westside should be allowed to rise to their natural levels by letting the free market truly work.  This means that we should not have ethnic ghettos in Costa Mesa and these ghettos should be broken up and discouraged.

POMONA SCHOOL IS...

98% Hispanic
0% White
100% Socioeconomically Disadvantaged
2 is it's API score. [1 is the worst, 10 is the best.]

WENDY AND HER GATED COMMUNITY

Mother Teresa Leece brags all the time that she lives on the Westside.  As with many things Wendy says, the reality needs a little explaining.

As we've reported before, Wendy actually lives in a gated community--sort of like the Green Zone in Baghdad.  Wendy might as well be living in Beverly Hills.  She doesn't live near Pomona School.

By holding her phony Town Hall meeting at Pomona School, Wendy is legitimizing the ghetto and telling suspected illegal aliens that she's their pal.

WENDY'S  FLYER ABOUT THE EVENT--IS IT RACIST?

HERE'S a copy of the flyer about the event.

Notice that the flyer talks about "support [ing] unity within the Hispanic community."

What about supporting unity within the White community?  Not mentioned.  Just Hispanic.  Get it?  Whites not welcome?

To understand the double standard here, just turn things around.  Would Wendy take part in an event that boasted it was to help "support unity within the White community"?

And, wouldn't the local hate filled anti-White bigots be screaming "racism" over a flyer that mentioned supporting unity within the White community?

"THE NEIGHBORHOOD COMMUNITY"

Notice the use of the above term and its variants in the flyer and elsewhere on Costa Mesa charity websites.  This is one of the code expressions for "Hispanics" that is used by some of the charities on the Westside.

BLOCKLEITERS?

Notice also that the flyer says: "We will identify community leaders by block...."

That's a very efficient way to organize political movements, control the populace, strengthen the us against them attitude of ethnic groups, and have accountability to leaders.

That's a system that was mastered in Nazi  Germany where the political organization of cities began with block leaders who were responsible for  40 to 60  households.

COSTA MESA NEEDS HOME RULE
by M. H. Millard

Recently, Mayor Pro Tem Jim Righeimer brought up the idea that Costa Mesa should switch from being a general law city to a charter city.

What Righeimer has suggested is akin to the declaration of independence that gave birth to this nation, but on a city level.

He has said, in effect, let's be free of far away legislators and let's govern ourselves with our own constitution--which is called a charter.

The major advantage to being a charter city is that the charter gives the city home rule over its municipal affairs.

Notwithstanding the above, this isn't as revolutionary as it may seem. In fact, all of the cities that surround Costa Mesa, with the exception of Fountain Valley, are already charter cities.

The idea behind being a charter city is a simple one: Locals know better about what is right for them than politicians in Sacramento and are in a better position to do what is necessary via home rule to fulfill their American dream.

In a charter city, any city ordinance that regulates a municipal affair will trump a general state law on the same subject.

Thus, under home rule--when a city becomes a charter city--it's own laws will govern municipal elections, zoning, the spending of tax dollars, and city contracts.

Becoming a charter city--home rule for those who live here--has angels in the details.

For example, many residents of Costa Mesa would like to see our municipal government buy locally. As a general law city, we are bound by state laws on this.

As a charter city, we may determine that it is best to pay a little more locally if the money will circulate here. Or, we may just use that freedom to bargain more effectively for the best price and the best service. Then again, we may decide to write our own ordinance that requires the low bidder to get the contract. The point is that we will have the freedom to determine what is right for us, not a nanny in Sacramento.

We will also have more freedom on how land is used in the city and many other things that Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Irvine all now enjoy as home rule cities.

The state will continue to occupy the field for traffic and school laws and a few other things so that there is consistency across municipal borders in the state. In most other areas Costa Mesa will be the supreme authority for Costa Mesans, not some faceless politicians in Sacramento who may represent districts hundreds of miles away from our city.

There are really no disadvantages in Costa Mesa becoming a charter city.

In my view, becoming a charter city may be an important step toward improving the Westside and all of Costa Mesa.

Free Costa Mesa!

ESTANCIA BOOSTER DISAGREES WITH THE CM PRESS

The CM PRESS wrote this earlier today: "Both teams [CMHS & Estancia] have strong offensive lines and both teams are less strong on defense so it may be a high scoring game."

AN ESTANCIA BOOSTER HAS RESPONDED THIS WAY: Correction - Estancia has allowed 11 points a game in 9 games. Defense is solid. Emotion and how it is channeled will decide the game, whomever makes less mistakes will win.

REMINDER:  BATTLE OF THE BELL FOOTBALL GAME THIS FRIDAY

The game between Costa Mesa High School and Estancia High School promises to be exciting as both teams have taken High School football to a higher level this year and either team might win.

The game will be at Jim Scott Stadium next to Estancia High School.  Admission is $7 (might be $8) and there's plenty of free parking in the Estancia High School parking lot. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Should be lots of local politicians there.  Probably about half in each High School's rooting section.

If Costa Mesa High School's Mustangs can solve their second-half energy loss (eat more hay before the game), they should win.

Both teams have strong offensive lines and both teams are less strong on defense so it may be a high scoring game.

Expect to see the Estancia Eagles go to the air more.

Is it her "agenda" to have all the other bees wait on her and feed her, and is she thus using them to do her will, or is she actually being used by the other bees to help with their agenda?

Might it not be that she is being held captive and is doing the will of the rest of the bees and they are simply feeding and taking care of her the way a jailer might take care of a prisoner?

And, of course there is a third possibility.  Might it not be that both the Queen and the other bees are mutually using each other for their own agendas that will also lead to a benefit for both.

The game starts at 7 pm.  You have to refresh constantly to get the latest.

You can also find other game scores by toggling around the site.

As we wrote earlier, this is an extremely important game for Costa Mesa.  Back in October, Estancia beat Laguna 35-14, so seeing how Costa Mesa does tonight may give an idea of the outcome of the Battle of the Bell game next week between Costa Mesa and Estancia.

This will also be a big test of Costa Mesa's defensive line tonight which has been almost impregnable after the first game of the season when it looked weak.  Laguna is usually a high scoring team so it'll be interesting to see if Costa Mesa can stop them.

STEVE FRYER AT THE OC REGISTER PICKS COSTA MESA HIGH SCHOOL VS. LAGUNA BEACH HIGH SCHOOL AS A TOP GAME OF THE WEEK (GAME IS FRIDAY NIGHT)

Fryer also picks Costa Mesa to beat tough Laguna Beach.

The CMHS vs. LB game may give a good indication of what will happen at next week's cross town rivalry between CMHS and ESTANCIA for the Battle For The Bell.

Back on October 20, Estancia beat Laguna Beach 35-14.  If CMHS beats Laguna Beach tomorrow night with scores like it has been getting in recent games (61-0, 49-14), put your money down on CMHS to beat ESTANCIA.

It's too bad we're so close to the end of the regular season because Coach Grant at CMHS has steadily improved his team both in offense and defense and in running and passing. Grant has a lot of tools to spring on any opponent.

At the beginning of the season, the CM PRESS wrote that CMHS had a defense problem.  Grant apparently also saw what we saw and he quickly solved that problem and has turned the defense into a brick wall.

Meanwhile, his offense has been like a hot knife through butter for most of the season.  Give them the ball and you can expect a touchdown very quickly.

We hear a buzz that Grant has actually been holding his team back from getting even higher scores because he doesn't want to ridicule some of the other teams (after all, these are just high school kids).

We'll post a link on the CM PRESS tomorrow night from the OC REGISTER where you'll be able to get the scores and a brief report of the game action as it happens.

One X factor added to tomorrow night's game is rain.  May be a slick field.  This will work against a running game.

TOM EGAN MAKES YET ANOTHER MISTAKE AND ANSWERS NORTHSIDE PHIL AS THOUGH NORTHSIDE PHIL IS ME

Sorry, Tom, I'm not Northside Phil.  Also, your tadpoles died.

When I comment, I want people to know it's me commenting. Thus, I comment under some variation of my own name:  Martin H. Millard, M. H. Millard, H. Millard or as CM PRESS.  Never as Northside Phil or any other name.  And, I never comment in the Daily Pilot or any other local newspapers except in full columns that I've written and signed with my real name.

Anyway, dear reader, if you can stand Egan's bloated and rambling mumblings, you can read the exchange below between Northside Phil (who is not me) and Tom Egan (who is also not me) that follows Egan's column in the Daily Pilot HERE.

You have to scroll down and read from the bottom up for this to make sense. Well, to be sure, when you read what Egan writes, it still doesn't make much sense no matter where you start reading.

Tom Egan2 at 3:35 PM November 2, 2011

(Continued from previous)

Then I’d say to Martin, “I know you can get pig-headed about your ideas, because you really, really think they’re good, because they’ll lead to good things in the long run, and because you’re willing to sacrifice the short term for long term results.”

Of course Martin would use some other fallacious rhetorical devices to try to divert me, but I wouldn’t fall for them, because I’m so tired of his wasting my time (we’ve had this kind of exchange many times before).

I want to have a civilized discussion around the ol’ cracker barrel, so to speak, and he wants to be obstinate, believing that stonewalling is the way to win a negotiation.

Finally, I’d say to Martin, “Look, you’ve read the same books on the art of negotiation I have, and you know that stonewalling will either win big or lose big, depending on the will of the other party.”

“Martin,” I’d say, “Eventually the truth will get out to enough people, and they’ll finally realize that the nuances are very important … as in ‘The devil is in the details.’ Then, if you’re still stonewalling, you’re going to lose big, because the public will drop the big hammer on your stones.”

But relax, Northside Phil, I’m not going to say these things to you. I don’t know who you are, so how can I have a conversation with you?
(End)

Tom Egan2 at 3:33 PM November 2, 2011

(Continued from previous)

Of course, Martin (knowing him as I do) would be trying to interrupt my line of argument as I go along, because he’s never wanted to hear anything that would challenge his beliefs and values.

But I would persist. I’d gently remind him that I support meaningful reform of public pensions. But just to tweak him a little bit, I’d also remind him that unions all over America have been agreeing to modify their pensions, public sector unions included.

And I’d have to remind Martin that our own CM employees have been modifying their pension agreements with their employer, City Hall, up until March 2011. And that they had been open to negotiation until the councilmen took their hostile actions re layoffs.
(Continued)

Tom Egan2 at 3:32 PM November 2, 2011

To Northside Phil,

If you were my erstwhile friend Martin, I’d say, “There you go again, Martin; changing the subject and using the ad hominem attack. You always do that when you can’t think of a good response.”

“Yes, the Governor is pitching pension reform,” I’d say. “Good for him. And yes, the Pilot wants to be extreme, and end ‘… public pensions for future public employees, with exceptions made for police, firefighters and prison guards, the people who risk their lives protecting ours.’”

“If you support those exceptions, great,” I’d say. (I know that, as a practicing Libertarian, he would, because he always has to bend some of his principles to allow a few “obviously necessary” governmental activities.) “That means you’re sensitive to at least some of the nuances in the issues, so maybe you’ll be sensitive to some others?” I’ll ask.

(Continued)

Northside Phil at 5:19 PM November 1, 2011

Isn't it funny how the ones who are so quick to defend our unsustainable and outrageous pension system are the ones who are feeding at its trough. The Mrs. Egan to Tom Egan is a long-time City employee who receives a guaranteed pension. No wonder Mr. Egan is so quick to attack the Pilot for at least conceptually supporting the Governor's plan.

Mr. Egan, at least the Governor is pitching. What are you doing other than simply sucking at the teat of these ridiculous pensions? Those who oppose meaningful pension reform are always those that stand to lose something if the joke of a system is not changed. The rest of us need to fight for the reform our State needs to desperately.

BLUE EYES?  YOU'RE A MUTANT

Actually, no matter what color eyes you have you have many mutations.  The DNA code is constantly shuffled so that life of some type will survive in ever changing conditions and with ever changing threats.

The above linked article has one error in that it says that eye color is a neutral mutation and doesn't offer a survival advantage.

Actually, the blue eye mutation does give a slight survival advantage in northern areas of the planet that allows those with the mutation to see a little better in blue light (as in the mornings) and foggy, snowy conditions. That's why you'll often see wolves from northern climates with blue eyes.

As you'll read in the above article, the blue eye mutation entered the human genome from a single person who had the mutation about six to 10,000 years ago.  Before this individual, all humans had brown eyes.

The blue eye gene is recessive to brown eyes.  "Recessive" simply means that both parents must have the gene (whether expressed or not)  for a child to be born with the characteristic.

Genes are us.
