The question is: Can you talk over and shout to drown out a speaker with whom you strongly disagree?

In this case, it was Muslim students drowning out a Jewish speaker. What if the roles were reversed?

In recent years we've seen stories of illegal alien advocates doing the same thing to drown out speakers such as Jim Gilchrist and Tom Tancredo. Funny, the protesters were allowed to get away with it in these cases.

We can't have a double standard about free speech. What is good for the gander is good for the goose. That's what 1st Amendment lawsuits are all about.

At yesterday's City Council Study Session, the CM PRESS told the Council that we keep getting into budget problems because they aren't frugal with our money and they're spending like drunken sailors.

MORE ON THE HISPANIC ONLY NON-PROFITS

Down at the bottom of this CM PRESS # 41 is a comment from "need to know" who wants to know the names of the non-profits that only serve Hispanics.

We've been trying to get Costa Mesans' attention to what's going on with some of the non-profits for years, by publishing the facts. For the most part, the issue then dies. Come the next year, the City Council then does the same stupid things with our money.

This time, we're going to try something different to let other people get some sweat in the game.

If you want to see what the City Council is doing with your money and how the Council gives it away to the non-profits, you, as an ordinary citizen (like us), have a right to review the public documents regarding this.

So, here's what you can do:

1. Call Mike Linares at City Hall: (714) 754-5678.
2. Tell Mike that you want to VIEW the CAPER* for the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 (that's the most current one).
3. Then, go to the 5th Floor of City Hall and Mike or staff will let you VIEW the document for free.
4. If you want to make photocopies of any or all pages, it'll cost you a dime a page. If it's just a few pages you want, they may photocopy and give them to you on the spot. However, the City does have a right to take 10 days to supply you with the copies under the California Public Records Act.

NON-PROFITS THAT DON'T LOOK LIKE COSTA MESA WANT MORE OF YOUR MONEY

Here's a link to an almost daily Daily Pilot article about the 14 non-profits that want the City Council to give them more of your money this year.

Yesterday, the CM PRESS filed a public records act request to view the documents on these non-profits.

What we found was that 3 of the non-profits that want your money only serve Hispanics. In fact, they serve a total of more than 700 Hispanics.

You may recall that a few years ago, the CM PRESS found one non-profit that actually turned away a White kid and told her that the non-profit only wanted to serve Hispanics.

To make a long story short, the Feds were then notified and they swooped in on this non-profit and essentially closed them down.

You see, you can't discriminate against people because of their race when you're using tax payer money.

And, this may be news to many people but it seems that Whites (as in the above case) are often the victims of racial discrimination.

Do you want the City Council to give your money to non-profits that discriminate? Don't you think the Council should stop giving money to non-profits that don't look like Costa Mesa?

Here's the bottom line from the Costa Mesa City Council Study Session today: The City has to fill a $9 million budget hole between now and June.

Our feeling at the meeting was that staff was painting too rosy a picture as to the amount of revenues that will come in from sales tax. If we're right, and if the City Council doesn't go beyond trying to fill that $ 9 million hole, things will be even worse.

MARINES ANSWER A SPEEDING TICKET

[Hostiles located, fire at will]

Two California Highway Patrol Officers were conducting speeding enforcement on I-15, just north of the Marine Corps Air Station at Miramar . One of the officers was using a hand held radar device to check speeding vehicles approaching the crest of a hill. The officers were suddenly surprised when the radar gun began reading 300 miles per hour. The officer attempted to reset the radar gun, but it would not reset and then turned off. Just then a deafening roar over the treetops revealed that the radar had in fact picked up a USMC F/A-18 Hornet (Northrop Grumman aircraft) which was engaged in a low flying exercise near the location.

Back at the CHP Headquarters the Patrol Captain fired off a complaint to the USMC Base Commander.

The reply came back in true USMC style: ~ ~ ~ Thank you for your letter. We can now complete the file on this incident. You may be interested to know that the tactical computer in the Hornet had detected the presence of, and subsequently locked on to your hostile radar equipment and automatically sent a jamming signal back to it, which is why it shut down. Furthermore, an Air-to-Ground missile aboard the fully armed aircraft had also automatically locked on to your equipment location. Fortunately, the Marine Pilot flying the Hornet recognized the situation for what it was, quickly responded to the missile system alert status and was able to override the automated defense system before the missile was launched to destroy the hostile radar position. The pilot also suggests you cover your mouths when cussing at them, since the video systems on these jets are very high tech. Sergeant Johnson, the officer holding the radar gun, should get his dentist to check his left rear molar. It appears the filling is loose. Also, the snap is broken on his holster. We served on the 3R Committee that makes recommendations to the City Council and we were not pleased by what we saw. There is very little oversight. Most of the people on the committee just want to be liked. One of the first things we did after we were appointed was to ask to receive the tax forms of the non-profits. We were amazed that no one on the committee had ever asked to see them before.

Don't buy the crap that the City Council members will give you when they give your money to non-profits that are actually working against the best interests of stable citizens of Costa Mesa and even to non-profits that are giving that money to illegal aliens. In the past, City Council members have just punted on this, even when we confronted them about it.

Are you listening Mansoor, Bever, Monahan and Leece? We expect you to be watchdogs over our money. Foley is a lost cause and she can be expected to give our money to non-profits that help illegals and other causes that help ruin our city.

India, like China, sees that the way to becoming an economic powerhouse (and gaining world dominance) is by putting the pedal to the metal with factories that actually make things.

The factories have emissions that climate change true-believers want stopped. However, if climate change data is wrong, or can be reasonably challenged, then there is no reason to but the brake on factories.

The Costa Mesa Police Department recently conducted an investigation into a marijuana distributor [West Coast Wellness, 1260 Logan Ave. # A8, Costa Mesa] believed to be engaged in the criminal sales of marijuana, outside current California law. Costa Mesa Municipal Code also prohibits the opening and operating of any medical marijuana dispensary. Based upon our investigation, search warrants were issued by the Orange County Superior Court. These search warrants were served today, February 4, 2010, as part of an on-going investigation. At the conclusion, four people were arrested and booked on related felony charges at the Costa Mesa Police Department jail.

A reader sent us the following:

ADVICE FROM AN ISRAELI AGENT


Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie 'Munich' was based. He was Golda Meir's bodyguard, and she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.

In a lecture in New York City he shared information that EVERY American needs to know -- but that our government has not yet shared with us.

He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O'Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week.. At the time, O'Reilly laughed, and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. Unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.

Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East) to the Bush Administration about 9/11, a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.

Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.

Forget hijacking airplanes, because he says terrorists will NEVER try and hijack a plane again as they know the people onboard will never go down quietly again. Aviv believes our airport security is a joke -- that we have been reactionary rather than proactive in developing strategies that are truly effective.

For example:

1) Our airport technology is outdated. We look for metal, and the new explosives are made of plastic.

2) He talked about how some idiot tried to light his shoe on fire. Because of that, now everyone has to take off their shoes. A group of idiots tried to bring aboard liquid explosives. Now we can't bring liquids on board. He says he's waiting for some suicidal maniac to pour liquid explosive on his underwear; at which point, security will have us all traveling naked!

Every strategy we have is reactionary.

3) We only focus on security when people are heading to the gates.

Aviv says that if a terrorist attack targets airports in the future, they will target busy times on the front end of the airport when/where people are checking in.. It would be easy for someone to take two suitcases of explosives, walk up to a busy check-in line, ask a person next to them to watch their bags for a minute while they run to the restroom or get a drink, and then detonate the bags BEFORE security even gets involved. In Israel, security checks bags BEFORE people can even ENTER the airport.

Aviv says the next terrorist attack here in America is imminent and will involve suicide bombers and non-suicide bombers in places where large groups of people congregate. (i.e., Disneyland, Las Vegas casinos, big cities (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.) and that it will also include shopping malls, subways in rush hour, train stations, etc., as well as, rural America this time. The interlands (Wyoming, Montana, etc.).

The attack will be characterized by simultaneous detonations around the country (terrorists like big impact), involving at least 5-8 cities, including rural areas.

Aviv says terrorists won't need to use suicide bombers in many of the larger cities, because at places like the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, they can simply valet park a car loaded with explosives and walk away.

Aviv says all of the above is well known in intelligence circles, but that our U. S. Government does not want to 'alarm American citizens' with the facts. The world is quickly going to become 'a different place', and issues like 'global warming' and political correctness will become totally irrelevant.

On an encouraging note, he says that Americans don't have to be concerned about being nuked. Aviv says the terrorists who want to destroy America will not use sophisticated weapons. They like to use suicide as a front-line approach. It's cheap, it's easy, it's effective; and they have an infinite abundance of young militants more than willing to 'meet their destiny'.

He also says the next level of terrorists, over which America should be most concerned, will not be coming from abroad. But will be, instead, 'homegrown', having attended and been educated in our own schools and universities right here in the U.S. He says to look for 'students' who frequently travel back and forth to the Middle East. These young terrorists will be most dangerous because they will know our language and will fully understand the habits of Americans; but that we Americans won't know/understand a thing about them.

Aviv says that, as a people, Americans are unaware and uneducated about the terrorist threats we will inevitably face. America still has only a handful of Arabic and Farsi speaking people in our intelligence networks, and Aviv says it is critical that we change that fact SOON.

So, what can America do to protect itself? From an intelligence perspective, Aviv says the U.S. needs to stop relying on satellites and technology for intelligence. We need to, instead, follow Israel's, Ireland's and England's hands-on examples of human intelligence, both from an infiltration perspective as well as to pay attention to, and trust 'aware' citizens to help. We need to engage and educate ourselves as citizens; however, our U. S. government continues to treat us, its citizens, 'like babies'. Our government thinks we 'can't handle the truth' and are concerned that we'll panic if we understand the realities of terrorism. Aviv says this is a deadly mistake.

Aviv recently created/executed a security test for our Congress, by placing an empty briefcase in five well-traveled spots in five major cities. The results? Not one person called 911 or sought a policeman to check it out. In fact, in Chicago, someone tried to steal the briefcase!

In comparison, Aviv says that citizens of Israel are so well 'trained' that an unattended bag or package would be reported in seconds by citizen(s) who know to publicly shout, 'Unattended Bag!' The area would be quickly & calmly cleared by the citizens themselves.

Unfortunately, America hasn't been yet 'hurt enough' by terrorism for their government to fully understand the need to educate its citizens or for the government to understand that it's their citizens who are, inevitably, the best first-line of defense against terrorism.

Aviv also was concerned about the high number of children here in America who were in preschool and kindergarten after 9/11, who were 'lost' without parents being able to pick them up, and about our schools that had no plan in place to best care for the students until parents could get there. (In New York City, this was days, in some cases!)

He stresses the importance of having a plan, that's agreed upon within your family, of how to respond in the event of a terrorist emergency. He urges parents to contact their children's schools and demand that the schools too, develop plans of actions, just as they do in Israel.

Does your family know what to do if you can't contact one another by phone? Where would you gather in an emergency? He says we should all have a plan that is easy enough for even our youngest children to remember and follow.

Aviv says that the U. S. government has in force a plan, that in the event of another terrorist
attack, EVERYONE's ability to use cell phones, blackberries, etc., will immediately be cut-off, as this is the preferred communication source used by terrorists and is often the way that their bombs are detonated.

How will you communicate with your loved ones in the event you cannot speak to each other? You need to have a plan.

If you understand, and believe what you have just read, then you must feel compelled to send this to every concerned parent, guardian, grandparents, uncles, aunts, whomever. Don't stop there. In addition to sharing this via e-mail, contact and discuss this information with whomever it makes sense to. Make contingency plans with those you care about. Better that you have plans in place, and never have to use them, then to have no plans in place, and find you needed them.

By being aware, the CM PRESS helped the police capture one burglar already inside a home a few years ago, and then a year later another one with burglar tools who was casing homes and who was pretending to be looking for gardening work by knocking on doors. Both were Hispanic.

WHAT'S THE DEEPER STORY ABOUT DAY LABORERS IN COSTA MESA?

Citizens of Costa Mesa need to ask themselves why it is that Costa Mesa has day laborers (and now a lawsuit from them), a high crime rate, failing schools and other problems; while our sister city Newport Beach doesn't have these problems.

The answers are simple and the CM PRESS has been writing about them for years.

1. Costa Mesa's politicians have not been improving our city as they should be doing. This is a constant job. This has caused us to diverge more and more from Newport Beach. Our politicians simply have the wrong priorities. They fix streets (constantly) and call that improvement.

2. We have too much industrial zoning and it's on the best land in our city. This is land that would attract upwardly mobile people to live here but now attracts industrial businesses.

3. We have too many run down apartments that landlords are able to rent out at top rates by renting to many more people than should be occupying the units. Many of the renters are illegal aliens.

4. We have too many non-profits that are acting as magnets for illegal aliens.

Illegal aliens move here for the freebies given to them by the non-profits, for the nearby industrial businesses and for the day work they get from Newporters who drive up the hill to pick them up, and because of the look the other way living conditions in the run down apartments.

We haven't seen the lawsuit. However, cities often lose these types of suits unless their laws have been carefully crafted and there is a reasonable time, place and manner for day workers to find work.

We're not sure, but the following Costa Mesa ordinance may be the problem:

CHAPTER XIX. SOLICITATION OF EMPLOYMENT, BUSINESS, OR CONTRIBUTIONS FROM STREETS AND CERTAIN COMMERCIAL PARKING LOTS

Sec. 10-354. Prohibition of solicitation in public streets.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to stand on a street and actively solicit employment, business, or contributions from any person in a motor vehicle traveling along a street.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person in a motor vehicle traveling along a street to solicit employment of any person standing on a street, to solicit from or make contributions to any such person, or to solicit or engage in a business transaction with such person.
(c) This section does not apply to freeway oriented solicitation prohibited by California Vehicle Code section 22520.5.

The Prime Minister of Haiti wants Great White Mothers and Great White Fathers prosecuted for trying to take Haitian kids out of the country. The kids apparently didn't want or need to be saved by these stupid Whites.

According to the article, one crying little girl said the GWMs and GWFs told her they were just taking her to a summer camp, not that they were trying to take her out of the country.

We've had these types of creepy Great White Mothers and Great White Fathers with us for centuries. Their forbears put American Indians in White clothes, gave them White haircuts and forced them into White schools and churches to "save" them.

And, in Australia, the GWMs and GWFs stole Aborigine children from their parents and forced them into White families also to "save" them.

We're seeing the same thing happening now with the FLDS folks in Texas and Utah as the GWMs and GWFs try to steal the little fundamentalist Mormon kids and put them in non-Mormon families.

The sad thing about this is that these GWMs and GWFs often hide their neuroses with religious mumbo jumbo and then other dimwits actually praise these nutcakes for their neurotic acts.

We even see this sort of thing going on in Costa Mesa where some teary eyed neurotics try to "save" illegal aliens.

The dirty secret is that these GWMs and GWFs subconsciously believe that they are superior and that they thus have a responsibility to save their inferiors. I've written many columns about this and I've coined the term "noblesse oblige racism," to describe the neurosis.

How may times have you heard about American Indians, Aborigines, Blacks or Asians rushing into foreign lands and "saving" the natives? Not many. Why? Because most of these peoples understand that they are not the rulers of Earth and that they are neither superior nor inferior to any other living things and that they have no right to try to force their ways on other peoples.

THE CM PRESS SCRATCHES THE SURFACE AND COMMENTS:



China has been engaged in a modern form of genocide against Tibet for years and the Chinese consider the Dalai Lama a "dangerous separatist."



You probably won't read in the main stream press about what's really going on in Tibet in the terms used by the CM PRESS below, but this is what is really happening.


This new and improved form of genocide, or what can also be called soft genocide or bedroom genocide, isn't accomplished with marching armies or gas chambers. That's the old fashioned way of killing off a distinct people. And, if you get caught you'll be brought up on criminal charges in world courts for crimes against humanity and genocide.


No, the new form of genocide is carried out by changing the gene frequencies in the gene pool of the nation you're trying to destroy and assimilate.



You do this by swamping the target nation (in this case Tibet) or a distinct people, with a genotype that is different from yours, with masses of your own people.



Then, there is a massive gene flow that occurs that in time changes the gene frequencies in the gene pool of the nation that you are invading as your people assimilate the people of the target nation and they become you.



To remain distinct, a nation or a people must remain isolated so gene flow is minimized. Tibet, because of its remote and mountainous location has had this isolation from China for centuries.



Now, however, China has built a fast rail system into Tibet and is sending thousands of Han Chinese (the dominant genotype in China) into Tibet to assimilate the people there.

The disadvantage of bedroom genocide is that it takes much longer than the old fashioned form, but the Chinese are patient and take a longer view of history than many people in the U.S.

UH OH--COMMENTER WANTS NEWPORT TO HAVE ITS OWN SCHOOL DISTRICT
The main thing keeping Costa Mesa from being as bad as Santa Ana is our connection with Newport Beach.

For that reason, the CM PRESS has always supported any links Costa Mesa has with Newport, including our unified school district and even the fact that the Daily Pilot links the two cities.

Over the years as we've looked at the dismal student scores in illegal alien infested schools in Costa Mesa and how these schools are keeping the school score averages in Newport lower than they should be, we've feared that Newporters would, at some point, call for a split from Costa Mesa schools.

If this were to happen, Costa Mesa's schools would devolve almost to Santa Ana levels.

Now, a Newporter has suggested in the Daily Pilot (LINK)that just such a split be made.

We hope that this idea doesn't catch on in Newport, but the way to keep it from catching on is to IMPROVE COSTA MESA!

Damn it, Costa Mesa City Council, get rid of the friggin' slums and stop giving our money to non-profits that give aid to illegal aliens and encourage more homes on the Westside Bluffs, and Costa Mesa will start rising to Newport's level.

Are you five people on the Costa Mesa City Council so stupid that you can't see what has to be done? Are you so dumb that you can't figure out how to do it? Are you going to wait until Newport breaks all links with Costa Mesa and then we become the new Santa Ana?

Van Tran is the guy who is termed out of the California Assembly and whose seat is being sought by Mayor Mansoor.

Van Tran now wants to move up to a bigger league by beating Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez for her seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

So far, Van Tran hasn't endorsed Mansoor but we suspect if Mansoor were Vietnamese Van Tran would be endorsing him. We think that says something about Van Tran that voters may not like.

On the plus side, Van Tran seems to have people around him who pay attention and who understand a little about the psychology and sociology of getting votes.

We come to this conclusion from the fact that after we had a letter published in a main stream newspaper, we suddenly got a letter from Tran along with a copy of our published letter photocopied from the newspaper.

What this tells us is that Tran or someone around him understands that to reach the most voters on a personal level, you don't have to reach all the voters yourself, you just have to identify and reach the "opinion molders" in various communities. Then, these opinion molders will reach others for you.

Who are opinion molders? They're just ordinary people like us here at the CM PRESS who talk and write a lot about things that they're interested in and who take the time to write to newspapers and speak out at public meetings.

You probably know several opinion molders. Maybe you have a neighbor or friend who, if they go out and buy a new car, for example, will be sure to talk to you about the car. If they see a movie, they talk to everyone about that movie.

So, Van Tran sent us a letter. No doubt, the hope was that we would then have our head turned toward him and that we would thereafter write or say glowing things about him.

"Golly! Hey Ma, we just got a letter from that there Van Tran feller. We sure must be important. Yes sirree, I can't wait to go down to the square dance and tell all the folks about what a nice feller he is and how they should all vote fer him."

Actually, we're not manipulated quite that easily. Sorry.

Here in Costa Mesa, the CM PRESS has often complained that our local elected "conservatives" seem to talk big about too much national spending and similar things, but they often fail to use the muscle that we have given them to actually do something right here where they actually can change things.

Talk is cheap, Costa Mesa City Council. Try doing something to improve Costa Mesa.

And, stop already with fixing the streets in front of the slums. Start thinning out the slums. If you don't know how to do it, just look at what the Stanton City Council is doing.
