Regular readers of the CM PRESS will recognize that name--Vitali Klitschko--since it's been in the CM PRESS many times. Vitali and his brother are the two best heavyweight boxers in the world right now and they hold most, if not all, heavyweight belts. The Klitschko family business is knocking people out.

So, here's what's going on with the GOP establishment as here represented by Jack Wu: The suits want to elect an Asian woman who recently parachuted into coastal OC and who probably needs a map to get around.
She has no local roots.
Mansoor, on the other hand, was raised here all his life and is a principled conservative. He doesn't need a map and he knows the people of Costa Mesa and Newport Beach. His local roots run deep.
The GOP suits are trying hard to be PC and minority friendly, and even though Mansoor's father is from Egypt, that apparently doesn't qualify Mansoor as a favored half-minority; partly because there aren't that many Egyptians in the area and, in addition, Mansoor and his family are Christian, not Muslim. Oh, and since his mother is from Sweden, that makes him too White by half.
If you've been watching the GOP lately, you already know that the old White guys are bending over backwards to look less White. They want minorities of all types in the windows. You may recall some local GOP bigs getting their panties all wadded up when a White grandmother sent out a joke card about Obama, and, as usual, it was called racist. We wrote about it in the CM PRESS after the suits expressed such over the top outrage that a well known line written by Shakespeare summed it up. Hell, you'd think the grandmother had set fire to the White House from all the phony outrage from these guys.
Mansoor would be great as a supervisor--no this isn't an endorsement, we don't want to jinx him with an endorsement from us--and we're not pals. But, we watched him when he was mayor and while he was up in the assembly. He's a small government guy who, to his credit, while in the assembly, didn't play the political game and come up with a ton of busy work new laws that aren't needed just so he could look like he was doing something. Frankly, we think the assembly should be part time, but don't get us distracted.
We've barely ever said more than a few things to Mansoor and those things were simply to say hello when we passed in City Hall, but we know he doesn't agree with our worldview and probably most or all of our opinions on the human condition, but that doesn't bother us. Our impression of him is that he's straight arrow and a guy who keeps his word and would work hard to help Costa Mesa and Newport Beach be better for all of us.
By the way, some local big government loving lefties now also slam Mansoor because he didn't come up with more big government useless laws.

CMPD COPS LOOKING FOR ASIANS WHO ATTACKED THREE PEOPLE AT CLUB SUTRA
The CMPD did not release a description of the victims. Were the victims White? If so, was this a race hate crime against them? Why the silence CMPD? We pointedly ask this because we know of another White kid who was attacked in Costa Mesa by a non-White gang who used anti-White epithets, and the CMPD tried to cover it up. The gang members were subsequently caught and prosecuted, but the CMPD failed to ask the DA for a hate crime enhancement so the pukes got off lightly.
Here's the CMPD Press release. as we received it, about the Sutra attack:
"On 01-24-14, at approximately 0030 hours, three male victims were attacked at Club Sutra located at 1870 Newport Blvd. The three victim’s sustained non-life threatening injuries. Two were treated at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana and one was treated at the scene. The suspects were described as being male, Asians, and appeared to be in their early twenties.
"Anyone with information regarding the altercation can contact Detective R. Hanson 714-754-5162 or Sgt. Everett at 714-754-5395."
