THE COSTA MESA CITY COUNCIL ELECTION CAMPAIGN--NO SUBSTANCE YET
So far, we're not hearing much of substance from any of the people who want to win seats on the City Council.
One guy talks about listening and healing and a divide--with a great emphasis on listening.
Listening? What are you, a Father Confessor? A therapist? Only the neurotic haters who whine that the good Councilmembers aren't listening are going to feel warm and fuzzy that someone wants to listen to them.
Having someone listen to them, makes them feel as though they are important, so you may get a few votes from these neurotics, but there aren't that many of them to make a real difference. They're the same handful of crackpots who make asses out of themselves at public meetings.
Listening is all that Wendy Leece does, and these same low IQ types praise her for it. "Wendy listens." Ah, yeah, she listens and she emotes but she doesn't do anything because she doesn't have any substance. She has no vision, no ideas. We don't need people to just listen. We need people who do, people who make things happen for the improvement of the city.
And, Wendy didn't get elected based on her saying she would listen. She got elected because the Improvers believed she would be a doer and would help improve the Westside and the city. The Improvers originally paired her up with Allan Mansoor in the hope that she would be a good vote for improvement. That she failed them, is now well known.
So, here we are heading toward a new election. We don't need an empty vessel. What are your plans? What is your vision for the City? What problems do you see that you want to fix that have motivated you to run?
Is it a lack of listening that you see as a problem? Good grief! Is that all you want to do? Listen?
Or, is it that nebulous "city divided" that you see as a problem? And, you want to "heal" the city? C'mon, cut the crap. Those are just goofy liberal catch phrases.
We need people on the City Council who can clearly identify the problems that they see in the city that they want to fix. And, those problems are not a lack of listening or a city divided.
Tell us what YOU want to do to make life better for us in Costa Mesa! Tell us YOUR vision! We'll listen to YOU! Make YOUR pitch! YOU'RE the one asking for something--our votes--so tell us why we should vote for YOU! Again, we're the ones listening. YOU should be the one talking.
Then, if we agree with what YOU want to do and with YOUR vision, we may vote for you. But, please, don't tell us you want to listen to us. If you don't already know why you're running or what you want to do, why are you wasting our time running?
The so-called divisions in the city right now are simply a result of having a couple of doers on the Council who are actually fixing real problems and helping improve the city, and this rubs the loons, who are used to do-nothing Councils, the wrong way.
These loons are shocked that we actually have a couple of people on the Council now who are really doing things instead of just listening, then rubber stamping sweet nothings put in front of them by staff, and then collecting their checks and then going home.
Anytime someone actually does something, he or she is open to criticism. "Oh, dear, I wouldn't have done it that way." "Oh, my, we must slow down." Well, the reality is that those who constantly attack doers for actually doing things are usually life long non-doers. They're losers. These are people who are so afraid of criticism or of doing something wrong, that they never do anything meaningful in their lives. They're so afraid of failure that they don't innovate. They don't bring in change. Ignore them. They are nobodies. They lack life force. They have no generative ability. They are the tiny brain herd at the center of the Bell Curve. They make noise, but they are empty noise makers. And, when it comes time to vote in Costa Mesa, not many of them even vote.

BIG GOVERNMENT REPUBLICANS SHOULD LISTEN TO RICHARD VIGUERIE
From the column: "Tea Party 'as much a rebellion against the Big Government Republicans' as liberal Dems."
Viguerie, who is widely credited with being a major force behind Ronald Regan winning the White House, says that Karl Rove, Reince Priebus, Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, John McCain and others of their ilk need to be defeated or ignored by the GOP rank and file becuase they do not share the values of most grass roots Republicans and lack true conservative, small-government principles.
