CM PRESS # 590

HUGE POLITICAL CHANGE IN INDIA AS NATIONALISTS WIN BIG

Nationalism is on the rise world wide as distinct peoples reject the blending philosophies of the one worlders.

ARTHUR ALLEN REVIEWS 'A TROUBLESOME INHERITANCE' IN THE NEW YORK TIMES

Of the reviews of this book that I've read, this is by far the dumbest one.  Allen clearly knows nothing about genes and the fundamental processes of evolution and he demonstrates his lack of knowledge in almost every paragraph.

If I have the time and inclination a little later, I may diagram all of Allen's stupid comments just in case there are any readers of the CM PRESS who may have missed them by not closely reading Allen's review.

SHOCK VIDEO: TAXPAYER FUNDED EDUCATION CONFERENCE IN WISCONSIN WAS GIANT ANTI-WHITE HATE FEST

Video (7:32 min.)

Be sure to watch this video to see what self-hating Whites and non-Whites are teaching teachers and future teachers to practice in their classrooms.

If you're White and this doesn't piss you off, you're a self-hater. Please don't ever talk to me, because you disgust me.

And, yes, we have some of these self-haters here in Costa Mesa.  Some of them are also the haters who show up at city council meetings and who say stupid things and who blog.

A PROJECT WE DON'T LIKE

At its May 20, City Council meeting, the City Council will hear a screening request* for a proposal to replace the  Costa Mesa Motor Inn at 2277 Harbor Blvd. (West side of Harbor next to the Costa Mesa Golf Course and across Harbor from The Home Depot center), which now has 236 rooms, with an apartment complex with 236 units composed of  one and two bedroom units.  The site is 4.05 acres.

You can read the staff report HERE.

We don't like this project for the following reasons:

1.  We have too many apartments in Costa Mesa.  In fact, our rental vs.home ownership ratio is upside down with more than 60% renters vs. 40% homeowners.  If approved, this project will add more rental units. We need more pride of ownership homes in Costa Mesa to stabilize the city.  We do not need more apartments.

2. It is too dense.

3.  It is not the highest and best use of land next to a golf course at this prime location at this time in Costa Mesa's present upward spiral of improvement.

4. It will create too much traffic on Harbor Blvd.

5. One has to wonder whether or not this proposal may actually be an attempt to put in homeless housing without letting the public know that this may actually be the long term goal.

What we would like to see on this site for the improvement of Costa Mesa:

Put in single family homes, some of which will have golf course views.

Generally

It's time for the Council and the Planning Commission to put the brakes on dense developments.

The spirit of Improvement was to prime the pump and start some developments to put in housing that would compete with housing in Irvine and other cities so we could attract an upwardly mobile population.  But Improvement was never planned to be like the never stopping, never tiring, water carrying brooms in Fantasia that flooded the whole place.
-------------------

* A screening request is an informal early presentation of an idea for a development that is made to the City Council and the public before too much money is spent on the idea and to get Council and public input as to whether or not the idea will fly or not.
