Yup, the Duck Dynasty brouhaha can serve as a symbol for freedom of expression and freedom for Whites to be White. It just depends on how Robertson and his family handle things from this point forward. If they cower and show up on Oprah with tears in their eyes ala Paula Deen, they'll just be seen as weak and they'll lose support. But, if they hang tough, they just may become good symbols.
