Newport Beach City Councilperson Nancy Daigle has a letter in the Daily Pilot HERE about Assemblyman Allan Mansoor's apparent robo calls to Newport City Council members concerning the fire ring issue.
In her short letter about Mansoor's robo calls, Daigle managed to string together the words "crank," (2x) "harassing," "rants," "marginally coherent," "busted," "painful" and even "Anthony Weiner."
Those must have been some calls.

Stop putting in more parking. Stop ripping out wind-sown plants that are now the new native plants for the area and replacing them with plants that can't survive unless they're put on life support and tended day in and day out by expensive employees who have to struggle to keep plants alive that are no longer native.
It's called evolution. What was once native is no longer native. Natural selection has eliminated the unfit plants for our present conditions and replaced them with plants that not only can survive in our present conditions but which can prosper and thrive with no help from humans.
Nature knows what is best and right for Fairview Park.

U.S. AND VIETNAM IN TRADE TALKS-OC REGISTER

Call the trade talks what they really are: another example of the futility of war and an indictment of our "leaders" who send our young men and women to die in meaningless wars and conflicts.
As I've written before, I appeared in a play in New York years ago called Enemy Go Round. The premise of the play was that today's enemy is tomorrow's friend, who is the next day's enemy, who is a friend again the next day,and on and on in a never ending meaningless roundelay.
Why did all those Americans die in Vietnam? Their deaths were meaningless. Entire American families are now never to be born because of the deaths of our young people who died for absolutely no reason.
But, you may be asking why I didn't mention the deaths of the Vietnamese as also being meaningless. Their deaths had more meaning, because they were fighting on their own land, for their own land, for the right to be as they want to be, for their own people, for their own culture, and to be able to live under their own political system against a foreign enemy (us) who had invaded their land.
