SAG AND AFTRA MAY MERGE
Probably a good thing. I'm a member of SAG but not AFTRA; even though I had a radio announcer's license many years ago.
I was once interviewed to be the voice of a character on the Muppets (that might be AFTRA), but I didn't get the gig after I took a sinus pill and it changed the resonance of my voice. (Hey, ya think this large nose is just there for decoration or to point me in the right direction or maybe to sniff out news? Nah. It's a resonance chamber. Form follows function.)
Hmmmm. Decision time. Get a good paying job doing a voice-over but have an eternal sinus headache, or lose the gig and not have a headache. I opted for no headache.
