MARINES GOING BACK TO WHAT THEY DO BEST

Very quick, brutal, projection of power and then fast move on to the next objective and let others hold the ground that was just won. 

Marines are not designed to hold land as has been the case in Iraq and Afghanistan.  That's the Army's job and they're good at it.

Talk is to shrink the Marines from 202,000 to 186,000.  As we've written before, we think the Corps should actually be shrunk to around 175,000.
